As a fan for over 20 years, I strongly believe there's no sport better than professional wrestling. Whether it's writing about the sport I love or meeting those that have impacted it in a major way, I always enjoy myself. Outside of wrestling, I'm into writing, gaming, and tokusatsu.
Chris Jericho – The Metamorphosis of Le Champion
Chris Jericho defeated Benoit at the following year’s Royal Rumble, becoming a four-time Intercontinental Champion as a result. This feud would eventually evolve into a partnership, as they won a tag team turmoil match at Judgment Day. In May, they challenged for the WWF Tag Team Champions Triple H and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. This match took place the following night on RAW; though Chris and Benoit won, this match is perhaps better known for Triple H suffering a legitimate quad tear. Jericho and Benoit would lose the championship one month later, on SmackDown, to The Dudley Boyz. We present…

Nyla Rose – The Native Beast Rises
If there’s one industry where barriers are practically made to be broken, it’s professional wrestling for Nyla Rose. Over the last few years, we have seen barriers continue to be broken, largely in the women’s wrestling scene. One of All Elite Wrestling’s proclamations was that it would welcome all competitors, regardless of traits like race, religion, or background. One wrestler that made history early this year was the first-ever transgender women’s competitor to sign with…

This brings us to one of the most popular young acts with a considerable buzz in the independent scene. Today, we look into the young, yet thriving, career of Jungle Boy. Riho: The Student That Would Be Champion
While it’s not unheard of for wrestlers to begin their training young, few have been thrust into the sport as former AEW Women’s World Champion Riho. Though only 25 years old, Riho has been wrestling since the age of 9, a fact that has been brought up multiple times by All Elite Wrestling’s commentary team. With more than a decade of experience under her belt, it may surprise new fans to know the five-foot-one Riho is one of the most seasoned wrestlers in AEW. Riho’s wrestling career began in 2006, when she and her sister, Seina, began training under Emi…
When it comes to the women’s division of All Elite Wrestling, the hits keep coming. Recently, it was announced that AEW signed the international star known as Hikaru Shida. To say that this news was met with positive reception would be an understatement. Given the fact that Shida built a strong reputation for herself, not only in her home country of Japan but abroad, this should come as no surprise. ________________ How did Hikaru Shida develop this reputation, though? Perhaps more interestingly, how did she become involved in wrestling in the first place? In this week’s talent preview, we will…
