On December 25th, 2019, Kagetsu would announce her retirement from professional wrestling. She said she would wrestle for Stardom for about a month and then in February, she’ll be fighting various opponents from different promotions before her last show on February 24th, which she’ll also be producing as well. The former Odeo Tai leader wrestled her final Stardom match on January 26th where she teamed with Mayu Iwatani to take on Momo Watanabe and Jungle Kyona, and Kagetsu would be pinned by Jungle to lose the match. If you all remember from my previous article involving Dragon Gate, BxB Hulk betrayed YAMATO to join R.E.D. In doing so they would vacate the Open the Twin Gate Championships in the process. Stardom’s Nine-Year Anniversary Show has recently ended on January 19th. It was a show full of great matches. The show also included; Kagetsu’s final singles match in Stardom before her retirement next month. Also, new champions crowned at the show as well as top Gaijins win the Goddesses of Stardom Championship. At The Final Gate, the final major Dragon Gate event of the year, there were multiple matches held where titles were contended for. On December 9th, All Japan Pro Wrestling would conclude their Real World Tag Team League. It’s been a month of exciting tag-team wrestling from the company, but it’s now time for the tournament to come to an end. For the finals, we have Jake Lee and Naoya Nomura taking on Violence Giant (Suwama and Shuji Ishikawa) and the winner of this match will fight for the World Tag Team Championship. #News: Hazuki Announces Her Retirement
Sad news broke in the Joshi world on November 24th, where Hazuki would make an announcement. Hazuki announced that her inpending retirement from professional wrestling. It was a shock from many fans to see her leaving the world of wrestling at twenty-two-years-old. Her retirement was announced for December 24th where she’ll be facing off against fellow Oedo Tai member, Natsuko Tora.
