Welcome back everybody for the eleventh installment of the PROGRESS Prerogative. For the uninitiated, this is the column where we review each of PROGRESS Wrestling’s shows (or Chapters) in chronological order. This week finds us at Chapter 11: To Fight War, You Must Become War. This is a very appropriate title considering that Chapter 10 saw Regression – Jimmy Havoc and The London Riots – take control of the company essentially. How will Jim Smallman, Glen Joseph, and Jon Briley fight back? Let’s see, right now. Chapter 11: To Fight War, You Must Become War. Sunday, January 26th, 2014. The…

Several new champions were crowned at PROGRESS Wrestling’s big show this Sunday. Chapter 95 saw all of the company’s active titles defended as well as a Royal Rumble match to crown the inaugural Proteus Champion. This is the first time in quite some time that PROGRESS have had a full compliment of titles defended on one of their shows, so something definitely had to give. Let’s get to all of the #AndNew champions from Chapter 95! A bit of a shocker with the first new champions crowned: we’re covering Aussie Open vs grizzled Young Veterans, folks. The match was going…

PROGRESS Wrestling returns to historic Alexandra Palace on September 15th for Chapter 95 – Still Chasing. That would be a callback to Chapter 55 – Chase The Sun, the first show that the company ran at Ally Pally. I had the pleasure of attending that show, and let me tell you it’s a bit of a belter. Should you so desire, the whole show can be viewed legally, for free, right here. The September show is PROGRESS’s biggest of the year, where the biggest scores are settled and new directions are established. So let’s have a look and see where…

For the first time ever, on September 14th, PROGRESS runs through an entire Natural Progression Series in one fell swoop! Traditionally taking place over a number of months, the Natural Progression Series is an elimination tournament that usually grants the winner a title match of their choosing. Previous winners were Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster, Pastor William Eaver, Toni Storm and Mark Davis. That’s a killer’s row of talent, and quite the list for the sixth winner to join. Let’s have a look at the opening rounds, shall we? On paper, Veit Muller vs The OJMO is a real mismatch as…
