As we come to the year’s end, we find ourselves rapidly approaching IMPACT Wrestling’s Hard to Kill on January 16th. The start of a new year holds much promise for many in IMPACT Wrestling. However, there’s one last stop in 2020: Final Resolution. This year’s Final Resolution, the first since 2013, takes place on December 12th, exclusively on IMPACT Plus. Brace For IMPACT for 11/17/20 With Turning Point in the rearview mirror, we have quite a lot to look forward to as we build towards January’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view. When #1 Contender Kylie Rae no-showed Bound For Glory, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo stepped up to keep the show going. The Virtuosa gave an open challenge to anyone in the knockouts division for her Knockouts Championship. She had no idea the risk she was taking, as the villainous Su Yung emerged to answer. 2020 has been an interesting year for IMPACT! Wrestling. At Hard to Kill in January, Tessa Blanchard became the first woman to hold the IMPACT World Championship, signalling a new dawn for the company. Then, in March, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. For the rest of the year, IMPACT! Wrestling produced their shows from Skyway Studios with no live audience. Last week’s episode of IMPACT! Wrestling ended in tragedy, as a mystery assailant shot John E. Bravo at his wedding. The attack on John E. Bravo casts a dark shadow over the company tonight, but the show must go on. The show opens with a compilation of all the times John E. Bravo berated his wedding party, followed by a recap of the wedding itself. After the video package, IMPACT! Welcome to this inaugural edition of The IMPACT Assessment, a new weekly feature in which I, Pete Moon, of Brace for IMPACT! and The Pro Wrestling Post Podcast, guide you through the goings-on from the latest IMPACT! Earlier today, MLW announces a partnership with IWA Puerto Rico. The companies have had a talent trading agreement since 2019, but now their partnership is official. MLW CEO Court Bauer was quoted saying – “We will share resources to help each other on the fight and business sides of our two leagues. Our goal is to promote the sport and help athletes and fans live their dreams with big fights in both organizations and collectively grow the global awareness of MLW and IWA-PR.” The agreement comes as MLW’s Richard Holliday enjoys a controversial reign as the IWA Caribbean Heavyweight Champion.…
