This is the story of Sting and Vader, their longstanding rivalry. The Man they call Sting had several rivalries stand out in the early years of World Championship Wrestling & one of which was with Vader. His most famous was probably against the nWo in the late 90s. He also had several knock-down-drag-out battles with Lex Luger, Ric Flair, and Rick Rude. However, arguably none were as brutal as the one with Big Van Vader. These two stars took each other to the limit match after match. Sting handled himself surprisingly well in the ring with Vader. Many times Sting…
At Unforgiven on September 12, 2004, Triple H defeated Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship, and as a faction, evolution would need to adapt or perish. Unfortunately, he did not do it by himself; the rest of Evolution interfered. Randy Orton had been cast aside by Evolution but was embraced by the fans. Triple H’s World Title reign came to a brief halt when the title was vacated due to a double pin. To be fair, the title was put up for grabs at New Year’s Revolution in the Elimination Chamber. The Game, Batista, Chris Jericho, Edge, Chris Benoit,…
In life, everything evolves. Some say the world of professional wrestling mimics life. Some adapt, some perish. No one knew this better than WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. Throughout his career, The Game has evolved. When HHH debuted in WWF, he was a Greenwich snob. Hunter Hearst Helmsley literally stuck his nose up at all competition. After going through a “degenerate phase,” he traded in his silver spoon for a sledgehammer and terrorized the WWF, and evolution was born. In 2003, Triple H knew he needed someone to watch his back. Based on his mentor Ric Flair’s infamous group,…

Kaientai – Underrated Indeed
Kaientai could have been a force in the world of pro wrestling for years to come. Unfortunately, they were the victim of WWE’s Jerry Springeresque storylines of the late 90s. Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Sato, Menz Teigho, and Mr. Yamaguci were indeed a threat. Taka Michinoku trained with the Great Sasuke in Michinoku Pro Wrestling. Out of respect, Taka took the Michinoku name. He became WWF’s first Light Heavyweight Champion. In the years after Kainetai, he created a legacy in Japan. Yuski “Wally” Yamaguchi was actually a writer for GONG Magazine. He also helped Sasuke establish Michinoku Wrestling. He knew…

Edge | The Rated-R Royal Rumble Return

Bret Hart and Steve Austin. After punishing Austin’s knee, the Hitman pulled him into the corner and put on the figure four around the ring post. Bret then wrapped the chair around Austin’s ankle, preparing to snap it in two like Austin did to Pillman. Unfortunately, Stone Cold got up and smacked Bret on the back with the chair. Austin attempted several submissions on Hart, but the Hitman countered every one. The WWF was definitely protecting both superstars from looking weak. Austin threw Hart to the outside of the ring. Bret Hart caught Steve Austin and rammed his head into…
Bret Hart and Stone Cold. In the late 1990s, the World Wrestling Federation looked a lot different than it is today. Wrestling fans were becoming sick of the “good guy vs. bad guy routine.” Even though that storyline was the foundation for the business since the 1950s, WWF fans craved more. In 1996 the face of the company was the legendary Bret “Hitman” Hart. Hart had brought a sense of athleticism to the WWF that the large monsters of the 1980s could not. At this time, he was a three-time WWF Champion, two-time Intercontinental champion, two-time tag team champion, 1994…
