Rampage Brown is making a welcome return to PROGRESS for this year’s Super Strong Style 16 tournament. He joins Travis Banks, Jon Gresham, Chris Ridgeway and Sonico as the field fills out further. Rampage was last seen in a PROGRESS ring at Chapter 100 where he teamed with Dan Moloney in a losing effort to Trent Seven and Tyler Bate. That appearance marked the first time in well over a year that the big man had wrestled for PROGRESS. The last time Rampage was entered into the Super Strong Style 16 tournament was 2016, which is the event I am…

PROGRESS has announced the latest entrant into this year’s Super Strong 16 tournament. The entrant is a good one. Sonico joins the battlefield which includes Travis Banks, Jon Gresham, and Chris Ridgeway. As the field begins to fill out we see the slots being filled in a way that sits within the tradition of the tournament. Sonico represents the lucha-style wrestler who is typically featured in a string role each year. They inevitably end up in the Wasteman Challenge. Previous entrants in this slot include; Flamita and Aerostar. Sonico’s addition clearly has a high benchmark to try to equal or…

We are back, back, back with the PROGRESS Prerogative. This is the column in which Pro Wrestling Post reviews each of PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapters in turn. We are well into the era of The Villain as Marty Scurll reigns as PROGRESS Champion. He’s had a rocky time of it since Chapter 28 though as he was pinned in short order by Tommy End (Aleister Black). He’ll face that same wrestler in the main event of Chapter 29, and the outcome may be rather different this time around. We also have qualifying matches for WWE’s inaugural Cruiserweight Classic – that’s the…

Robbo has headed a tremendous run since August of last year when he received a PROGRESS title shot against then-champion Walter. That match took place in Canada, so you would expect PROGRESS to have something special lined up for Robinson’s return to North America. Unless he loses it in the meantime, Robinson will bring the Proteus title with…

Running a show in the Tramshed, PROGRESS will be looking to make a big impression, as they do wherever they go, on the Welsh crowd. There’s a fair bit of Welsh talent being featured on the card. Whether that’s for local flavor or convenience, I’m not too sure. The company has a new ring announcer, new commentator, and, most importantly new champion. Exciting times for PROGRESS, so let’s see what’s in store for Chapter 102. Cara Noir (c) vs Chris Brookes – PROGRESS…

The best points of comparison for those of…
