Born March 4, 1993, I’ve been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. My favorite wrestlers are Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, and Mick Foley. Current favorite promotions are AEW, NJPW, and Impact! Outside of wrestling, I’m a huge music fan and very passionate about cooking.

Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper. “The Excellence of Execution” and “Hot Rod.” You’d be hard-pressed to find two more different wrestlers. Bret carries himself with composure and is a man of few words. He wrestles a highly technical, mat-based style and would prefer to keep things in between the ropes. Piper, on the other hand, is almost the complete opposite. He’s brash, loud, in-your-face, and would rather punch you in the mouth than apply a headlock. Regardless, both men are bonafide icons in the business. Known as one of the best promo men in the business, Piper is also one…

With it being such an exciting time in professional wrestling, certain performers fly under the radar. One such performer is Ren Narita. At 23, his resume is already quite impressive, albeit lacking many signature moments. But, looking at the rapport he has built with anyone that has worked with him, he is surely destined for greatness. Minoru Suzuki doesn’t exactly fit the mold of what most people think of when “scary” wrestlers are brought up. Typically, it’s supernatural abilities or an ominous entrance. Usually, these characters have quite a bit of pageantry involved with their persona. Just look at the Undertaker, Kane, or Bray Wyatt. Some of the most defining moments of these wrestlers’ careers involve coffins, something or someone being lit on fire, or some other over-the-top production. Nothing could be less true about Suzuki, who wrestles in plain black trunks. While his music, Kaze Ni Nare is beloved (google the Suzuki Incident), it is…

The rivalry of The Rock and Ken Shamrock was an important one. 1998 was a watershed year for the WWE (then WWF). It saw the emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin after defeating New Era poster boy Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 14 for the WWE Championship. This effectively ushered in the highly acclaimed and often-talked-about Attitude Era. This time in WWE was a particularly exciting time as it seemed new stars were being created monthly. This boom period led to the demise and eventual closure of WCW. It allowed WWE to declare themselves the winner of the Monday Night War.…

The height of Japanese professional wrestling is the early to mid-2000s NOAH was special with KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji. One can argue 90’s AJPW or even modern-day NJPW, but what started it all for me was NOAH. Specifically, two proteges of two of the biggest names in the history of the sport, This is the storied rivalry of KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji. KENTA (real name Kenta Kobayashi) had always looked up to Kenta Kobashi and knew he was destined for greatness. Just because his favorite wrestler’s name only differed from his by one letter. Kobashi took a liking to KENTA…
