Yesterday, The Telegraph published a piece on their website that BT Sport is set to announce that they have entered into a partnership with WWE to begin to air its programming in the United Kingdom later this year. For the past 30 years, Sky has been WWE’s main UK partner. Showing both Raw, SmackDown Live, Main Event, and many other programmings. Sky’s contract is rumored to be ending at the end of November this year. Earlier today WWE issued a statement announcing that Lars Sullivan (real name Dylan Miley) has been fined $100,000 for historical bigoted and misogynistic comments. The comments in question were made between 2007 and 2013 on a Bodybuilding.com message board. The comments surfaced in November of last year before dying down. Earlier today, Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier confirmed that, as expected, WWE SmackDown Live WILL air live for two hours every Friday night from 8 pm – 10 pm ET. While she’s on the WWE’s European tour, Becky Lynch has made time for yet another Twitter spat – and very much tongue in cheek with Beth Phoenix. As no real shots were fired by The Man, but she may have inadvertently made public her private life. The 24/7 sports network will air the 10 one hour episodes weekly from Sunday May 12 at 7pm EST. This is a huge deal. Major League Wrestling ( MLW ) officials announced today the competitors and brackets for their National Openweight Championship tournament to crown their inaugural champion. The National Championship is an Openweight division, where there is no weight limit at all.
