As a wrestling enthusiast for over 30 years, my fondness for professional wrestling explores the irrational in a rational way. I will explore the details inside and outside the ring and hopefully have a laugh with you in the process. I've had the fortune to interview wrestlers from Lucha Underground, TNA, Ring of Honor, GFW, and former WWE talent as well. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @TheMarcMadison
At 32 years of age, Jermaine Haley first earned a name for himself on the Australian wrestling scene. This is the journey of Bronson Reed. Over the course of the first eleven years of his career, the man known as Bronson Reed captured several titles along the way. The native of Adelaide, South Australia, Haley wasn’t content with only competing in the land down under would also move around Europe and Asia as well. The key to any competitor’s success is growth. With greater opportunities come a greater chance for growth and subsequent success. What isn’t typically shared about is…
The Wild Samoans, Afa, and Sika were the patriarchs of the Anoai family. After their time as a team in the ring, the next generation within the Samoan Dynasty would be with the Samoan Swat Team. Samula ‘Samu’ Anoai is the son of Afa along with Soloafa Fatu, who is Afa’s nephew. In the mid-1980s, Samu would compete in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for Lutte Internationale promotion owned and operated by Dino Bravo and Gino Britto. This was coincidently the first time the cousins worked together. After closed, the two would compete for Carlos Colon in Puerto Rico. It would be…
The Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu, has risen to the top of the independent wrestling scene. His growth has led to his emergence as the face of Major League Wrestling. If his last name is familiar, it should be. He is the son of Sam Fatu, who competed as The Tonga Kid or Fatu during his time in the WWF. And he was trained by his uncle, WWE Hall of Famer, Rikishi (real name Junior Fatu). This lineage means he is also related to many members of the Anoa’i family, including The Usos and Roman Reigns from WWE. As a talent…

Before a visionary faced an established phenomenal talent, we had two men who didn’t cross paths before making a statement over a decade ago. The match took place on April 28th, 2006, in Muscatine, IA, at an NWA No Limits show. AJ Styles and Seth Rollins (then competing as Tyler Black) took place against one another for the first time. The two men facing each other were current WWE champion AJ Styles and former WWE champion Seth Rollins. We should mention that this match was before there was a ‘Seth Rollins;’ at the time he went under the moniker of…

Everyone has a past. For Dexter Lumis, his past is as much shrouded in who he was as it is who he is and has become. The rather haunting and frightening nature of Lumis appears to be an assembly of the character Dexter Morgan from the television show of the same name and Dr. Loomis that was as integral a part of the Halloween films as Michael Myers himself. However, to know who he is today in NXT, it is crucial to retrace the journey of Lumis and how he is emerging from the ashes of Samuel Shaw. A former…
Ragin Cajun : Two Out of Three Fall Epic
On April 2nd, 1989 the NWA presented Clash of the Champions VI: Ragin Cajun. The event took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. While the event wasn’t particularly long by pay-per-view standards in the modern era this show was a little over two hours in length. However, one match actually went 60 minutes in length in an astounding two out of three falls. It would pit the World Champion, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat against the former champion, the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. Before the match took place it featured how only a few months earlier, Steamboat would defeat Flair to capture…
The Bloodline – They’re The Ones
The Samoan Dynasty dates back generations. From the origins of Afa and Sika, the Wild Samoans, a number have sat and grown from beneath the learning tree of these two brothers. As the years passed and their sons and nephews had successful careers, only one generation has risen head and shoulders above the rest of the family. With Roman Reigns leading them, The Bloodline has been a focal point of the WWE for nearly three years. But with every great story told, it must have a beginning. On August 23rd, 2020, WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman were…
The title suggests master, as the person with that name is greater than all others. In fact, many different minds hear that monicker and believe it was a strong male behind it. But what if we said that it was Alexandra Ford who was the one that walked with the monicker of master of wrestling behind her? The initial thought was, who is that? If the name Alexandra Ford doesn’t ring about, then the name of a twenty-plus-ring veteran and world-traveled Madison Eagles will. She first began her career training at the age of 17 for International Wrestling Australia in…
