As promised I have returned with the second preview of this weekend’s PROGRESS Wrestling weekender with this, the preview of Corrupted Harmony.
Yesterday I posted a preview of Chapter 85 Progo.naut which is being held in Bournemouth, and you can find that preview right here. It has the makings of a great show and will have a knock on effect on the card for this chapter, as you’ll see below.
This chapter emanates from Birmingham’s O2 Academy and is the first Birmingham show of the year. Now lets dive on into the card!
Jody Fleisch vs DJZ
I think this is a first time meeting for these guys (if I’m wrong I’m sure I’ll get @ on Twitter haha) and this could be a doozy of a match.
DJZ reminds me of Jody 10 years ago while Jody is in such phenomenal shape and form that he could be himself from 10 years ago!
All in all, this match will wow you. You can trust me on that as I haven’t steered you wrong yet when it comes to calling out great matches 😉
Jinny, Laura Di Matteo & Kasey Owens vs Session Moth Martina, Millie McKenzie & Nina Samuels
Kasey Owens makes her PROGRESS Wrestling debut here in this match and seems to have aligned herself with the dastardly duo of Jinny and Laura.
With Nina already sure of her spot in the four way match at SSS16 for the PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Championship, will she take a back seat here and let Martina and Millie do the heavy work? Course not, she still owes Jinny and Laura from Hello Wembley!
This match will have fireworks that’s for sure!
Team WhiteWolf vs Jimmy Havoc & Mark Haskins
A team I’ve been hoping to see at PROGRESS finally make their debut! I’ve seen Team WhiteWolf in other promotions and in person and they are high octane, super charged, super quick and just plain awesome! Fantastic chemistry and in-ring skills. They are a great addition to the tag team roster.
Could this be the beginning of a Havoc swansong before he jumps across the pond and joins AEW? Even if it is he still would like to go out on an evil, sadistic high and take apart A-Kid and Carlos Romo.
Both teams will be doing their utmost to climb that tag team ladder and call themselves number one contenders, it’s just one team would like to win….while the other would like to decimate.
SSS16 Qualifier
Chris Ridgeway vs Spike Trivet
Do Not Resuscitate’s mission statement is that they don’t get opportunities. Well DNR member Spike certainly has one here. Just overcome one of the hardest men on the roster to gain a spot at this years SSS16. No biggy eh?
Having lost possibky one of the most brutal battles of his life against WALTER at Chapter 84, Chris would love to get back into the title hunt. And what better way than to not only enter but win SSS16 and get that shot.
Will Spike’s cronies show up to spoil Riddy’s day? It’s a huge possibility, but Chris is big and hard enough (by his own admission) to tackle the problem head first and deal with it.
Anti Fun Police vs Do Not Resuscitate
Birmingham is Chief Deputy Dunne’s patch and there’s surely no way that he and Santos will let the young upstarts of Do Not Resuscitate have any fun here!
Eaver and Mambo have shown themselves to be formidable opponents over the past few chapters and will be full of confidence that they can topple the highly thought after AFP here in Birmingham.
Imagine the scenes if Dunne gets pinned by some nefarious way by DND?! If that’s not a great way to get heat then I don’t know what is!
Trent Seven vs Austin Theory
It looks like Trent will be taking on his final “Theory” test (see what I did there?) before stepping up to face WALTER at SSS16. And what a test…. at Corrupted Harmony
But he’d be remiss to dismiss Austin here. As I said in yesterday’s preview, Theory is a bonefide STUD and I’m surprised he hasn’t been tapped up by WWE officials yet. Honestly he’s that damn good.
A massive test for both men that will result in a great match
There are a couple of matches that are yet to be announced at the time of writing. Jordan Devlin, Angelico, and Travis Banks have all been confirmed to appear at Corrupted Harmony.
That folks brings to an end a fantastic weekends PROGRESS action. With only one more Chapter announced before the madness of Super Strong Style 16 weekender, you can rest assured that this and Progo.Naut will be great “go home month” shows!
