In our NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 10/08/22, we note that last week’s NJPW STRONG ended in chaos. After Fred Rosser put away United Empire’s TJP, a hooded figure stormed the ring to beat down the NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion. Having laid out the champ, the man tore down his hood to reveal he was none other than Chris Dickinson!

But will “Dirty Daddy” Chris Dickinson be the next to challenge for the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship? We’ll find out as the young lions of the NJPW LA Dojo roll into Las Vegas, Nevada for the Autumn Attack Series! Over the coming weeks, The NJPW STRONG Synopsis will be there to break down this truly colossal card.

    Shota Umino vs. QT Marshall

Two months ago at High Alert, QT Marshall of The Factory scored a win over Parker Lee. Following his sub-3-minute victory, Marshall ran down the LA Dojo again. Showing his disdain for the local crowd, Marshall claimed that nobody in the locker room was on his level. Then, The Factory leader issued an open challenge.

This challenge was answered by none other than “Shooter” Shota Umino. The debuting Umino has been very busy touring the globe in NJPW and RevPro in the UK. Having recently finished the excursion part of his training, Shota Umino has everything to prove in this match against QT Marshall. Will The Shooter shut down QT Marshall for good? Find out this Saturday night!

    Ren Narita vs. Juice Robinson

As Ren Narita‘s excursion comes to a close, he’s got some unfinished business. It wasn’t long ago when one could see Ren Narita and Juice Robinson on the same side of multi-man tag team encounters. However, Juice Robinson left Hontai back in May to join the villainous BULLET Club.

Few members of the NJPW roster stood in his way, but among them was Ren Narita. This Monday, Ren Narita makes his homecoming to NJPW proper at Declaration of Power in Ryogoku. Narita will be looking to score a big win against a storied opponent before he returns to Japan. But will “Rock Hard” Juice Robinson stop Narita from returning under his own power?

Wheeler Yuta & Homicide vs. Jay White & Karl Anderson

    NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 10/08/22
    [Photo: NJPW]
Just over one year ago, Wheeler Yuta faced Jay White in singles action at Fighting Spirit Unleashed. Since then, both men have come quite a long way. Wheeler Yuta earned the respect of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson to join Blackpool Combat Club, and even held the ROH Pure Championship for 159 days. Meanwhile, ‘Switchblade’ Jay White was feuding with Kazuchika Okada, eventually capturing the biggest title in his career: The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Our main event this week sees the unusual combination of Homicide and Wheeler Yuta team up to face IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White and the NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson. Yuta and Homicide present contrasting styles, both in-ring and out, and one wonders how they’ll work together in this huge main event match. Originally, they were to be joined by Eddie Kingston, however, a positive COVID test has ruled him out of the match. How will Yuta and Homicide fare without Kingston to be the glue?

Please share with us what you expect to happen on this week’s edition of NJPW STRONG in the comment section below.
