Pro Wrestling Post sat down with former NFL lineman and one of the current stars of NBC’s hit sitcom Young Rock, Matthew Willig who plays Andre the Giant, ahead of the premiere of tonight’s episode of Seasons 2, “Kiss and Release” on NBC at 8/7c. The episode focuses on The Rock learning the ways of love from the famous French gentle giant himself as the two learn a lot from each other on a fishing trip. Andre teaches him the ropes of navigating your first crush and learning how everyday life can teach some of the most important lessons you…
Pro Wrestling Post sat down with one of the multi-talented stars of NBC’s hit sitcom Young Rock, Joseph Lee Anderson who plays Rocky Johnson, ahead of the premiere of tonight’s episode of Seasons 2, “What Business?” The episode focuses on the beginnings of The Rock getting into the ring for the first time, and the bumps and bruises he encounters along the way. AEW Dynamite Diatribe 2/19/20 (Steel Cage Match)
Welcome back to the all-new AEW Dynamite Diatribe here on Pro Wrestling Post, with me, Zach Perez! A steel cage main event match is something to look forward to! This week we got an electric night of action in Cody’s adopted home of Atlanta, GA. A mini pay-per-view in its own right, this was clearly him taking extra care of the crowd in the State Farm Arena, which spreads the love to all the viewers at home as well. And fans were treated with a few spectacles in particular that we won’t soon forget. We also had some miscellaneous mentionable…
Welcome back to the AEW (AFTER) Dark Review here on Pro Wrestling Post! This week we got back into the longer format, getting over an hour of free wrestling action on YouTube once more. There were great matches, interesting angles, and some great work from the commentary team. Our main event features Spears and Delaney against the Best Friends. Excalibur was joined this week by Taz. After signing a long-term deal, this may end up being a permanent duo and I am here for it. Working with great chemistry and a wealth of commentary experience between the two, they have…
Welcome back to the AEW (AFTER) Dark Review here on Pro Wrestling Post! After AEW Dark was a bit thin last week, we seem to see a running trend continue of much briefer episodes this week. But even still, there were some great pieces put in motion in this Bash at the Beach/Rock N Rager edition of Dark. The main event of today’s Dark is The Dark Order versus Sonny Kiss and Brandon Cutler could be a highlight. With only three matches on this week’s card and nothing much in the way of angles, it was all in-ring action for…
Welcome to another week of the AEW (AFTER) Dark Review housed right here on the home of all things wrestling, Pro Wrestling Post! This week’s episode of AEW Dark told some very interesting new stories and had some fun matches along the way. We were introduced to a second generation of the Gunn (Club) family, as Billy and son Austin fought alongside each other for the first time (second time if you count the unaired dark match from last week) inside of the AEW product against Shawn Spears and Peter Avalon. We also got a continuation of the Legends of…
In the second of two parts, Zach looks at the remaining five matches in the AEW Top Tag Matches of 2019. To read part one please do so here. 5. Proud-N-Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) vs. Young Bucks (AEW Full Gear) Another example of the Young Bucks trying to put over every tag team they face with career-defining matches was the first tilt they had with Santana and Ortiz of the AEW Top Tag Matches. Coming in hot debuting at All Out, the former LAX attacked the Young Bucks after another standout performance of theirs. They declared the first shot fired…
Welcome back to the 20 for 2020: AEW series! Now we crown the official top twenty matches of the year! Kicking things off, we will break down the top ten from the stacked (and maybe best in wrestling) tag division of All Elite Wrestling. From the known commodities to the rising stars, AEW had all the right tools to build a classic year in the artform of dynamic duo wrestling with their top tag matches. This is part three (here is part one and part two with the honorable mentions if you need a refresher) of the four-part series that…
Welcome to the return of the AEW (AFTER) Dark Review here on Pro Wrestling Post! The first AEW Dark of the year and the decade was a much briefer episode but still had some great moments along the just over 30-minute run time. Besides the two matches on the show, we also got some nice continuation of storylines. Christopher Daniels addressed his botched moonsault once again. He also proclaimed he was still the “Fallen Angel”. What implications that may have, I was exalted to hear that one. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge AEW, don’t make the Ministry of Darkness mistake. Featured this…
Welcome back to the 20 for 2020: AEW series, where we will take a look at the diamonds in the rough that almost made the cut to the final list. These are all spectacular matches in their own right but didn’t quite crack the top tens This time we will be taking a look at the tag division and the great matches that deserve revisiting. Once again this will be in no particular order, but it is more a representation of the elusive greatness that is the top 20. This will be a four-part series as I have separated the…
