Bandido captures PWG Championship

On Friday, December 20th at the Makings of a Varsity Athlete event for Pro Wrestling Guerilla has a new champion. In a battle with Jeff Cobb for the PWG championship, Bandido defeated the former Ring of Honor television champion to capture the title. Cobb’s reign as champion was an astounding 427 days. He captured the title in October 2018. The win for Bandido marks the first time a Mexican born wrestler to win the title. Bandido is the 31st PWG champion in the history of the promotion. As reported earlier today by Bryan Rose of Wrestling Observer former IMPACT Wrestling star, Killer Kross has officially been released from his contract. The release came after months of his status with the company being in limbo. The news was also stated on the promotions’ official website as well. IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross). In a tweet sent out by the WWE on Fox Twitter handle, the handle posted the comments there are few bigger matches in WWE history than CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Punk replied to this with a twitter gif of his infamous pipebomb segment that aired.
