Hello, one and all to the first of a regular monthly series where I look forward to the next month and give you a heads up about all the major shows from the big promotions in the British scene. Here is what you need to know for British wrestling dates for December
Why the British scene? Well, I live over here for a start and secondly, in my totally biased and honest opinion, I think that with the amount of world-class talent and promotions we have on our tiny island, we truly are the envy of the world.
There maybe some promotions that you don’t know or not that sure of. But trust me, if they’re on this list you NEED to check them out. Over the coming weeks, I will be giving each and every promotion listed a Brief History Of article to get you all caught up and ready to go.
Now that’s enough waffling from me, let me now tell you what you should be looking out for in December 🙂
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Under The Mistletour Night 1 – The Dome, London Wed 12 Dec
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Under The Mistletour Night 2 – The Frog & Fiddle, Cheltenham Fri 14 Dec
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Under The Mistletour Night 3 – Cathay’s, Cardiff Sat 15 Dec
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Under The Mistletour Night 4 – Trinity Centre, Bristol Sun 16 Dec
ATTACK! Pro Wrestling kicks off their annual end of year Mistletour (mistletoe – mistletour 😉 ) at The Dome, their new London home before hitting all of their old regular haunts. The Mistletour is a fantastic way to end the year, and if you know ATTACK then you know that it shouldn’t be missed. All the crazy antics and hard-hitting action that they’re known for all wrapped up in a four-day tour and topped off with a nice Xmassey bow. What more do you want?
Insane Championship Wrestling
ICW: Fear And Loathing XI – Sunday 2 Dec – The SSE Hydro Glasgow
If you don’t know who Insane Championship Wrestling are then getting off this page dammit and get researching rookie! This event is headlined with Lionheart putting his career on the line against the ICW World Champion Jackie Polo in what WILL be possibly one of the greatest matches in ICW history. Also confirmed is Kay Lee Ray against ICW Women’s Champion Viper in a Queen Of Insanity match, that will be off the chain! The well-traveled Briscoe Brothers will be in action along with a multitude of who’s who in the world of wrestling. This is one event that you should miss at your peril!!!
IPW:UK
IPW:UK Undisputed II – Mote Hall, Maidstone Sunday 23 December
IPW:UK is ending their year with a bang as Chris “Hard As Fuck” Ridgeway takes on current IPW:UK World Champion (and my pick for breakout star of 2019) Kip Sabian in what will be a must-see contest. No other matches have been announced at the time of writing but based on that main event alone, this show should be spectacular.
PROGRESS Wrestling
PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 80: Gods And Monsters – O2 Ritz, Manchester Sat 8 Dec
PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 81: Pour Some Progress On Me – O2 Academy, Sheffield Sun 9 Dec
PROGRESS Wrestling: Unboxing LIVE A Dukla Prague Away Kit – Electric Ballroom, London Sun 30 Dec
Do I really need to sound you out about PROGRESS? Seriously? C’mon, you know all about them. You don’t need me to talk about them for a few sentences…..You do? Well, you can wait a week or so for their Brief History piece. As you can see from the image above, LAX, one of the best tag teams in the world right now, will be appearing and possibly stealing the shows. And Unboxing? I will tell you that Unboxing (now in its 3 outings) is an amazing show! No card announced, just surprises all night long!
Pro Wrestling EVE
Pro Wrestling EVE: Shevivor Series – Resistance Gallery, London Sat 8 December
Pro Wrestling EVE (also known just as EVE) was founded in 2010 and is a female-only promotion run mainly in Bethnal Green, London at the Resistance Gallery. Also fuelled by a love of all things punk and pro wrestling, former champions include Alpha Female, Nikki Storm (aka Nikki Cross in WWE) and Britani Knight (aka Paige in WWE). EVE really is breaking boundaries and putting on fantastic events too. Shevivor Series marks the start of the road to Wrestle Queendom 2, the biggest show of their year, and what a way to kick it off as Toni Storm will take on Jordynne Grace in a dream match!
Revolution Pro Wrestling
RPW Live At The Cockpit 35 – The Cockpit, London Sun 2 December
Revolution Pro will be back at The Cockpit for another barnstormer of a show. Already announced is Ringkampf versus Aussie Open, Team WhiteWolf versus CCK, and Zoe Lucas will take on current RevPro Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter, with more matches announced over the next day or two. Do not miss this event!
That’s my December line up of great action for you all. I hope you all keep an eye out for those events, or maybe even lucky enough to attend them. Let me know if you do and how the show went. I’d love to hear all about it.
Are you a wrestler? Are you a promoter? Are you running an event in January next year? If so would you like me to shill your show to the millions (AND MILLIONS) of Pro Wrestling Post readers?
