As NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver has come and gone, the debut on Tuesday nights is among the topics of discussion as we preview WWE NXT for 4/13/21. Fans witnessed a remarkable two-night presentation of NXT TakeOver on Wednesday & Thursday, April 7th & 8th. There was a new NXT Champion, NXT Women’s Champion, and a unified NXT Cruiserweight Championship. As the show came to an end, the discussion has already begun as to what will the fallout of these events.

One of the most punishing matches in NXT in recent memory saw former friends virtually bludgeon one another. With NXT’s debut on Tuesday night (as of this writing), fans will be witness to a debut, a challenge, and a new champion addressing the NXT Universe. Here is the WWE NXT preview for 4/13/21 as NXT debuts on the USA Network on Tuesday nights.

    Franky Monet Debuts

The vignettes of her debut began a couple of weeks ago in the most interesting of ways. With a puppy appearing in front of the Performance Centre and then gradually making its way into the building, it would stop in front of an unknown female. Fans didn’t see her face but rather her calves in a pair of high heels. It appears that the worst kept secret as to her identity has been made available.

Through various media outlets, the announcement is that Franky Monet is none other than former IMPACT! Wrestling Knockouts champion and wife of SmackDown superstar John Morrison, Taya Valkyrie. Valkyrie has worked to built a name for herself in Mexico, then Lucha Underground, and finally in IMPACT! Monet only adds to an already well-established and thriving NXT Women’s division. Who will she face in her debut? Stay tuned.

    Santos Escobar Open Challenge

After defeating NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devilin to unify the titles, Escobar is prepared to move forward. The now unified NXT Cruiserweight champion is prepared to face all challengers, and that begins tonight. With several men on the roster prepared to step up, the question is who will be THEE person to face Escobar. While many names could be pitched as to who could stand across the ring from Escobar, one name that is likely to fall under the radar is someone who has been building his name on both 205 Live and NXT.

Mansoor, who fans of NXT and 205 Live, has been on a 48-match undefeated streak. This choice to step up to Escobar may be a bit of a stretch because he hasn’t been in any prominent championship matches. That said, if someone does step up to Escobar, another name to consider would be ‘The Bruiserweight’ Pete Dunne after his recent win at Stand and Deliver against KUSHIDA.

    WWE NXT Preview for 4/13/21
Raquel Gonzalez Addresses the NXT Universe

The new NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez, is prepared to make her address to the NXT Universe. After she defeated Io Shirai, Gonzalez stood tall, proving that she is the future of the women’s division. While facing Shirai again is likely to happen, other names will also want to step up to the new champion. Toni Storm, Mercedes Martinez, Kacy Catanzaro, & Kayden Carter are among the names that will likely step up to challenge her.

However, Gonzalez could face challengers coming from NXT UK to provide a different threat for the title. Could we see the legend Meiko Saturmora or emerging talent like Xia Brookside? In saying this, will we continue to see Dakota Kai remain by her side now that Gonzalez is the champion? This may be the most interesting story that will play itself out.

    What To Expect :

    • The fallout of Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Cole’s Unsanctioned Match
    • NXT Champion Karrion Kross & Scarlett to put the NXT locker room on notice
    • Will MSK share their thoughts on winning the NXT Tag Team Championships?
