The upcoming episode of WWE NXT 2.0 for 8/23/22 features two matches for the show and the debut of a talk show. But before this episode takes place, fans are aware that NXT UK will be coming to an end. With the announcement that it will be closing its doors, the announcement that it will be re-emerging as NXT Europe in 2023.

But until then, talent from NXT UK began to appear on last week’s NXT Heatwave. One of these debuts was the arrival of former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Gallus. Fans also saw the arrival of Blair Davenport and current NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate. So who else may appear from NXT UK this coming week? Here is the WWE NXT 2.0 for 8/23/22 preview.

‘The Grayson Waller Effect’ with Apollo Crews

The always brash and overly cocky Grayson Waller debuts his ‘show’ with his first guest Apollo Crews. Will this be a one-off show, or we see guests appear weekly? While that question is pondered, the appearance of Crews smells of something taking place in the future. Crews returned to NXT as part of the 2.0 roster and, in doing so, has goals he wants to achieve.

Waller has never hidden the fact that he ‘got rid of others’ in NXT, and he plans on doing the same with Crews. Will this be an instance where Waller bites off more than he can chew, or will someone from his past come back to haunt him?

    Lights Out Match
    Wendy Choo vs. Tiffany Stratton

This match appears to be the blowoff contest between these two. At every turn, it appears Stratton gets the better of Choo in the ring, and Choo manages to get the better of Stratton outside the ring. As fans are likely aware, this match came about as Wendy Choo put on her best Randy Orton impersonation and trapped Stratton in a room in the dark.

But unlike Stratton, Choo had night vision goggles to which she beat on her as she was unable to defend herself. Choo has yet to get the better of the often overconfident Stratton in the ring. Wendy has a chance to gain some modicum of revenge after Stratton eliminated her in the number one contender’s battle royal and being pinned one on one by her.

Will it be lights out for Stratton, or will Choo be the one catching Z’s?

    NXT UK Tag Team Championship
Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen (c) vs. Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) with Joe Coffey

After attacking Diamond Mine at NXT Heatwave, Gallus came looking for their NXT UK Tag Team Championships. As noted on WWE.com, Gallus are the longest reigning NXT UK tag team champions in the brand’s brief history. All four men like to hit and hit hard, but the champions may be at a real disadvantage in the experience department.

The Coffey brothers and Wolfgang have been together a long time and are as close of a unit as any faction today. Will Gallus regain the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, or will Josh Briggs and Jensen retain their championships?

    What To Expect

    • Tyler Bate and Bron Breakker address last week’s face-to-face meeting
    • Mandy Rose addresses future challengers for the NXT Women’s Championship
    • Blair Davenport and Indi Hartwell to once again cross paths.
