Welcome to the latest edition of AEW Ignite! It is another show from the “Undisclosed Location”! It is hard for me to know how many weeks it has actually been now. Sigh. But it seems All Elite Wrestling is building towards their May Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Let us see what AEW has in store for us on Wednesday: Could this be the end of Dustin Rhodes Career?
Will this be the end of Dustin Rhodes Career?
Wardlow has been a part of the AEW roster for months now. Most of that time he has simply been the silent enforcer for MJF. But what is he like in the ring?
He has had exactly two matches in AEW. He lost the famous cage match against Cody in mid-February. His only other match was a brief squash match victory on AEW Dark that lasted the whole of thirty seconds. Will we get to see a long match for Wardlow or will he be squashing another poor jobber?
Brodie Lee in Action!
Brodie Lee has been on quite the roll in AEW. He has won both of his matches on Dynamite in dominant fashion against QT Marshall and Lee Johnson. He also seems to rule the Dark Order with an iron fist demanding a lot from his followers. Who will be his latest victim?
Kenny Omega In Action!
Kenny Omega has gone through quite a lot in recent weeks. He defended his AAA Mega Championship against Sammy Guevara. He won a hard fought match against Trent. His only recent loss was in a “unique” tag match when he was working with Michael Nakazawa.
Kenny Omega seems to have recovered from his recent injury. His tag team partner, Hangman Page, hasn’t been part of the equation in recent weeks. How will “The Cleaner” do as he is back in action again on Wednesday night?
Orange Cassidy vs. Jimmy Havoc
This is certainly a unique match-up. Jimmy Havoc decided to attack Orange Cassidy last week. This set up a match between the hardcore wrestler and the laziest man in wrestling.
This will be Orange Cassidy’s debut on AEW Dynamite. He has had only one match-up in all of AEW history. He lost a tough match-up to PAC at AEW Revolution. The amazing thing is he actually tried that night in Chicago as well. Will he try on Wednesday night?
Jimmy Havoc has had a lot of success this year in AEW. His only loss in four matches was a recent defeat to Cody on AEW Dynamite. He is certainly facing a very different challenge on Wednesday night. Can the famous British hardcore wrestler overcome the “Freshly Squeezed” one? It will be fun to find out.
Darby Allin VS. Sammy Guevara (TNT Title Quarterfinal Match)
This is the quarterfinal match of the TNT Title with the most history to it. Darby had his throat smashed by a skateboard a few months ago thanks to the “Spanish God”. Darby Allin got his revenge for this with a good victory at AEW Revolution. This wasn’t the end of the feud as Darby valiantly fought and lost in basically a handicap match against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in early March. It is time for the next round in the never-ending feud between two of the best young talents in All Elite Wrestling.
Both superstars are hungry to advance in the TNT Title tournament. They both have a long history with their possible semi-final opponent Cody. Who will get a chance to fight the “American Nightmare”? And who will get the upper hand in this never-ending feud? It should be the match of the night.
(TNT Title Quarterfinal Match)
Kip Sabian VS. Dustin Rhodes
Could this be the end of Dustin Rhodes career?
Could this be the last night we get to see Dustin Rhodes in pro wrestling? That is what Dustin declared on the most recent episode of “Road To”. He declared that he would retire if he doesn’t defeat Kip Sabin in their quarterfinal match on Wednesday night. The stakes certainly have become very high.
The problem is Kip Sabin is on a bit of a roll. He has won three of his last four matches in AEW. “Superbad” would like nothing better then become the man to end the legendary career of Dustin Rhodes. It should be quite the way to end a memorable AEW Dynamite. Find out what happened in next week’s AEW Ignite.
