For ROH TV Episode #517, two matches have been announced to take place. With Glory By Dishonor only a week away, two matches have been booked to take place. While the champions versus all-stars match doesn’t have championship implications. Each of the champions needs to co-exist to remain successful on this night. With that said, the risk of injury leading into the pay-per-view is great. Recent title matches have been booked leading into the event, and in doing so, who will best set themselves up to emerge successfully?

Also, the final first-round match of the ROH Women’s Championship tournament is set to take place. Angelina Love awaits the winner as she has advanced to the quarter-finals. Max The Impaler with Amy Rose squares off against Holidead in the final first-round matchup.
Champions (ROH World Champion Bandido, World Television Champion Dragon Lee, Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham, and World Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson & Homicide) vs. All-Stars (Jay and Mark Briscoe, EC3, Flip Gordon & Josh Woods)
While it isn’t the first time this type of match has taken place, it certainly manages to be one of the more interesting ones. A match that pits either all-stars or champions on the same side puts one thing in question. Egos. The egos of either team could easily be what prevents them from winning. Unless they a team can reach common ground, issues are like to arise between them.
In looking at both teams, if anyone can easily leave a mark moving them into a potential championship match in the future, it’s the all-stars. The Briscoe’s will easily have their sites set on Dickinson & Homicide. Flip Gordon will have his sights on Bandido. Josh Woods is likely to have his eyes firmly on Jonathan Gresham. Finally, EC3 will likely be squaring off with Dragon Lee. The problem here is three different factions are represented here with among the champions. Among these different factions, one will want to stand alone? Will that potential dissension be a factor in costing them a win?

ROH Women’s World Title First-Round Match
Max The Impaler (w/Amy Rose) vs. Holidead
As the first round of the ROH Women’s World Title tournament continues, this match appears to be the most intense of the round. The haunting and ominous Holidead considered as much living as she is deceased. However, with a career that spans the independent circuit in both the United States and Europe, Holidead comes into this match with a huge pedigree behind her. A former Shine co-tag team champion, Holidead returns to Ring of Honor to compete once again in the promotion, only this time with higher stakes.
Holidead stands across the ring from the Warrior of the Wasteland. Max the Impaler has created an allure around her coming into this tournament. The Dayton, Ohio native has only three years of experience behind them. It is the second tournament they competed in this past year. Earlier this year, Max The Impaler took part in New South Pro Wrestling’s Heart of the Southern Sixteen Tournament. They had an impressive showing making it to the semi-finals there. Who among them will move to the next round of the tournament? To see the updated bracket, see below.
What To Expect:
- How will Bandido recover after being unmasked the previous week?
- Will other events take place leading up to Death Before Dishonor?
