This week’s show, from Glasgow, Scotland, opens with news from Sid Scala. He announces that, in four weeks, there will be a fatal four-way match to determine a new number one contender for the WWE United Kingdom Championship. Eight men have been handpicked for a chance to qualify and it starts tonight! Here is the latest edition of the NXT UK American Assessment.
Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate) vs. The Hunt (Wild Boar and Primate)
The match begins with Bate and Wild Boar facing off. Wild Boar catches Bate in the air but Bate is able to counter. Bate makes his way to Seven for a tag. Wild Boar forces Seven into the opposite corner for Primate to tag in. Primate takes control, but Seven comes back with chops, which don’t seem to have much of an impact. However, Seven is able to hit a DDT, causing Primate to roll out of the ring. Seven hits a suicide dive to knock down The Hunt. In the ring, Seven goes up to the top rope, but Wild Boar distracts him, allowing Primate to take control.
Primate tags in Wild Boar, who continues the physical onslaught on the weakened Seven. Wild Boar cinches in an armlock to weaken him further. Seven misses the Seven Star Lariat and Wild Boar tags in Primate, the vicious team using tandem offense to keep Seven on the defensive. Primate whips Seven into the corner and hits a big clothesline. Primate tags in Wild Boar, while Seven makes the tag to Bate. Off the hot tag, Bate execute a German uppercut off the middle rope, an overhead toss, followed by a standing shooting star press! 1… 2… Wild Boar kicks out!

Bate lifts Wild Boar for an airplane spin before tossing him into Primate. Bate tags in Seven, who takes control of the match. Seven tags in Bate once more. Moustache Mountain goes for a tandem maneuver, but Wild Boar escapes while Primate slides back in the ring. Wild Boar goes for the cover on Bate, but Seven breaks up the pin at two. “Moustache Mountain” chants emit from the Glasgow crowd. Wild Boar tags in Primate but are overwhelmed by Moustache Mountain. The match ends with Bate hitting Primate with a running uppercut before Seven follows up with a bridging full nelson suplex for the 1… 2… 3!
Winners: Moustache Mountain
After the match, the camera cuts to the backstage area, which shows a weakened Amir Jordan being helped to the trainer’s room by Kenny Williams and other personnel. It appears tonight’s NXT Tag Team Championship match is in jeopardy.
Joe Coffey vs. Flash Morgan Webster (Qualifier for the Four-Way Number One Contender’s Match)
Coffey exhibits his power by tossing Webster in the corner to begin. Coffey cinches in a headlock to stall Webster, who uses his agility in response. The Glasgow crowd is firmly behind the home country hero in Coffey, who cheer his offense while booing every advantage Webster receives. Webster hits a standing flipping senton and goes for the cover, but Coffey kicks out. Webster attempts to go to the top, but Coffey cuts him off, taking control of the match again. Coffey whips Webster into separate corners, much to the delight of the Glasgow crowd.

Coffey executes a butterfly swing on Webster, transitioning into a pinning suplex, but Webster kicks out at two. Coffey cinches in a full nelson, but Webster eventually breaks free. However, Coffey catches him again and resumes the lock. Webster breaks the hold again and goes for a crucifix pin, which Coffey kicks out of. Webster hits the ropes and hits a cross body followed by a series of mounted punches. Webster then hits a running crossbody on Coffey that causes them to fall out of the ring. Webster reenters the ring and performs a running senton over the top rope, crashing onto Coffey from the outside!
Back in the ring, Webster hits a moonsault on a standing Coffey. Coffey goes for All the Best for the Bells, but Webster counters for a two-count. The match ends with Coffey hitting a spear on Webster in the corner, finishing him off with All the Best for the Bells for the 1… 2… 3!
Winner: Joe Coffey
After the match, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang join the victor in the ring. Mark tells the audience that NXT UK is only the kingdom of Gallus. Joe takes the microphone and says that Gallus runs the city of Glasgow. Wolfgang takes the microphone and addresses Dave Mastiff, who he has had problems with as of late. Joe resumes control of the microphone, saying that in the upcoming fatal four-way, Gallus will flourish. The winner of that match will challenge the United Kingdom Champion. Whether it’s Pete Dunne or Walter will be decided in two weeks’ time when they square off in a rematch.

Nina Samuels vs. Kasey Owens
The match begins with the crowd chanting “Let’s Go Kasey.” Samuels quickly gets on the offensive, stomping away at Owens in the corner before throwing a series of forearms. Samuels stretches Owens within the ropes and follows up with a dropkick. Samuels goes for the cover, but Owens kicks out at two. With Owens in a seated position, Samuels applies a submission hold, keeping the pressure on her opponent’s arm. Owens starts to take advantage of a series of strikes, followed up by double knees in the corner. Owens goes for the pin, only for Samuels to get the shoulder up.
Owens goes for a penalty kick, but Samuels reverses with a backbreaker. Samuels goes to the top rope and dodges the running Owens with a cartwheel. Samuels hits the Ninagoroshi on Owens for the 1… 2… 3!

Following the match, Samuels is interviewed in the center of the ring. She says that she admires NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm, but criticizes her for abandoning her single mother and little sister so that she could live her dream. Samuels says that Storm should enjoy her rock and roll lifestyle because it will be all she has to left once she takes the NXT UK Women’s Championship.
Backstage, Dave Mastiff is interviewed regarding the fatal four-way qualifying match he will have with Wolfgang next week. Mastiff says that he’s no stranger to Wolfgang and vice versa. He also says that next week, he will smash Gallus to bits. As Mastiff walks off, Kay Lee Ray storms the interview to address Samuels. Ray says that she’s not looking to wait, but instead pick her moment and that no one in NXT UK will forget her name.
Next week, another qualifying match will take place, as Ligero squares off against Jordan Devlin to potentially secure a number one contender’s spot.
Before the NXT UK Tag Team Championship match begins, Zack Gibson takes the microphone, saying that he “heard” that Jordan is injured. He says that there will be no tag team championship match tonight, much to the disapproval of the vocal Glasgow crowd. Nonetheless, Williams, sans Jordan, makes his way down the ramp. Williams says that Jordan is indeed injured, but that there will be an NXT UK Tag Team Championship match tonight. His new partner: The Scottish Supernova, Noam Dar!
Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) vs. Kenny Williams and Noam Dar (NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match)
Williams and Dar storm the ring, attacking the champions and causing them to escape to the outside. The match officially begins with the two teams engaging in fisticuffs. This action carries over to the outside. Dar and Gibson make their way to the ring, with Dar taking advantage. Dar hits a northern lights suplex on Gibson, who kicks out at two. Gibson makes the tag to Drake, who hits a low dropkick to Dar before knocking Williams off the apron. Dar rolls of the ring, but Grizzled Young Veterans bring him down with tandem offense. Gibson rolls Dar back into the ring, taunting him all the while. Gibson tags in Drake, who strikes the former 205 Live star in the midsection.
Drake focuses on the previously injured knee of Dar, applying pressure to it. Dar tries to make his way to his partner’s corner, but Drake cuts him off, continuing to focus on the leg. Dar attempts to make a tag to Williams again, but Gibson pulls him off the apron before the tag can be made. Eventually, Dar finally reaches Williams, tagging him in. Off the hot tag, Williams takes the fight to Grizzled Young Veterans, capped off by a springboard cross body into the ring. Williams drives Drake into the top turnbuckle and sends Gibson off the apron with a flying knee. Williams hits a slide through the ropes on Gibson and catches Drake with a big DDT! Williams goes for the pin, 1… 2… Drake kicks out!

Grizzled Young Veterans roll of the ring, but Williams catches them with a diving fall off the top rope! Back in the ring, Williams hits a flying back elbow on Drake! 1… 2… Drake kicks out again! Drake hits a big backbreaker on Williams, who tags in Dar. Meanwhile, Drake tags in Gibson, who attacks the knee of his opponent. Dar quickly takes advantage, cinching in the kneebar! Gibson reaches Drake and tags him. Williams pulls Gibson out of the ring and hits a springboard back elbow on him. Back in the ring, Dar locks the kneebar on Drake! Williams applies the ankle lock on Gibson, applying a grapevine! In the hold, Gibson starts to punch Dar, releasing both submissions. However, Williams and Dar quickly reapply their holds, only for Gibson to kick off Williams, sending him crashing into Dar.
Dar catches Gibson with an inside cradle, but he kicks out. Gibson applies a single leg crap on Dar, returning his attention to the knee. However, Williams stops Dar’s attempt to tap and breaks the hold! As the legal men, Williams and Gibson fight. Gibson attempts a codebreaker off the middle rope, but Dar pushes his opponent out of the way, taking the move instead. This allows Williams to take advantage for the 1… 2… Gibson kicks out! The match ends with Drake pulling Dar out of the ring, slamming his knee against the apron. By himself, Williams valiantly fights. However, the champions are too much for him. Gibson hits Williams with Helter Skelter and Drake follows up with a 450 splash for the 1… 2… 3!
Winners: Grizzled Young Veterans
The champions stand dominant as this week’s episode of NXT UK fades to black.
