It seems that WWE Hall Of Famer Sting still wants that match with The Undertaker.

Sting, who turns 61 next March, spoke with Sports Illustrated this week. In the article, Sting speaks about how if the opportunity to face The Undertaker ever arose, he would accept that one last booking –

“If there was a Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that phone call. I could get in condition and I could pull it off.”

Even after announcing his retirement at his Hall Of Fame ceremony in 2016, it seems that Sting feels like the ‘Taker match is the one that got away –

“I think my career is done. I still think about the Taker situation every year, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

One opponent that “didn’t get away” was Mick Foley. In his guise of Cactus Jack, the pair of them had some hellacious matches that were ahead of their time back in 1992 –

“I was just thinking about Mick Foley and the matches I had with him way back when he was Cactus Jack. I’d never seen somebody do more devastation to a human body, his own body, than Cactus Jack. I can still remember the sound of his body hitting the cement. I was also there the night in Germany when he lost his ear. Mick was unbelievable.”

The Stinger also spoke very highly of current RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch. How she has overcome adversity and reached the highs she has reached so far.

“Becky’s taken the women beyond where they’ve ever been. To see her headlining WrestleMania, and the reactions that she and some of the other women are getting, it’s incredible.“

Blake’s Take – Yup, WWE missed not only a trick but the whole damn show when they failed to capitalize on Sting’s introduction to the WWE. He came into the company with so much fanfare. The fans…ALL THE FANS…were clamoring for that one last dream match. We knew there wasn’t long left on Sting and Taker’s bump card 🙁 And what did we get? An “nWo vs DX” match we never wanted. And THAT match against Seth Rollins. Where’s my copy of WWE 2K19? I suddenly have the urge to play a Sting/Taker Hell In A Cell match…
