News broke yesterday that there could possibly be a second AEW show on TNT.

Brett Weitz, the General Manager for truTV, TBT, and TNT spoke to The Wrap that the network is currently in discussions with All Elite Wrestling officials about doing a studio show.

Weitz was asked if there could be a studio show to accompany AEW: Dynamite that premieres next week –

“We are talking about it, I don’t know if you’ve met Tony Khan, but he’s not short of ideas or passion. So there is a world where we’re thinking about ‘Where does something like that live?’ Knowing full well that within the WarnerMedia ecosystem we have B/R Live, we’ve got all these different components at our disposal.”

“The more content for these fans the better, and we would love to figure out what something like that looks like.”

Cody Rhodes revealed last week that Tony Khan and other AEW officials were considering producing a third hour of weekly TV content. The rumors were that it would air on B/R Live. With the news from Weitz, it looks like the studio show would make up the third hour of programming.

This would be in direct competition with WWE’s own studio show on FS1. The rumored date for the show’s premiere is Tuesday, November 5.

Blake’s Take – Shots fired! And to those (I’m looking at you Uncle Vince) who said that there would be no war between WWE and AEW, I laugh in your general direction! All Elite Wrestling TV show on Wednesday nights = NXT moved to USA Network on the same day and same timeslot. Rumored WWE studio show = rumored AEW show. This is exciting times peeps. Competition brings out the best in all walks of life. Wrestling is no exception. I’ll be waiting with bated breath to see this situation between the two companies develop.
