Exciting news came out of Major League Wrestling on Wednesday that their partnership with AAA would kick off in 2020. It had been previously announced that the promotions would be working together. Now the date is set. On January 11, 2020 at Zero Hour, the stars of AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide will collide with the stars of MLW. Announced in the press release were Puma King, Taurus, Aero Star, and Drago. Konnan has been key to the negotiations between the two companies, including the matchmaking for this show. There is an extra wrinkle because Salina de la Renta has been doing whatever she can to make Konnan’s life difficult. There have been rumors of tampering with contracts by the mistress of Promociones Dorado.

Puma King has been involved with MLW for several batches of tapings and he is a favorite among the fans. Taurus last appeared at Intimidation Games, representing AAA with Laredo Kid in March 2019. They took on the Lucha Brothers in a losing effort. Aero Star, who along with Drago, gained notoriety in the United States with the TV series Lucha Underground. He last appeared for MLW at Intimidation Games last February against Rey Horus. Finally, we have Drago, who last appeared for MLW in 2018. He took part in the first-ever Battle Riot and also teamed with Rey Horus against the Lucha Brothers.

Matches should be announced for the luchadors in the coming days as they gear up for the next set of MLW Fusion tapings. Already signed for Zero Hour is a grudge match between Ross Von Erich and “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, as well as a no ropes barbed wire match between Jimmy Havoc and Mance Warner. This show will take place at the NYTEX Sports Centre in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Also signed to appear for MLW are Davey Boy Smith, Jr., MJF, Marshall Von Erich, Hammerstone, Douglas James, Injustice and CONTRA Unit, among others. The world of MLW never stops and as more news is shared, we will bring it to you.
