On June 29th, 2014, WWE presented Money in the Bank 2014. Due to the injury to Daniel Bryan, a new champion will be crowned. In addition, a separate Money in the Bank ladder match will also take place for the traditional Money in the Bank contract. From the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, this year’s event took place. Up for is the match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. JBL, Michael Cole, and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler are on commentary for this particular event.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) (c) vs. The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan & Luke Harper)
Before the match, we see how this match all came about. A win a few weeks ago by Rowan by Jimmy Uso would lead to a match by Jey Uso and Rowan. Their growing battles back and forth lead to this match. Jey and Harper start the match off against one another. Rowan is tagged in as the Wyatt Family takes the early advantage in this match. Harper is then tagged back into the match, and he continues his assault on Jey. Jey is then forced once again back into Wyatt’s corner. Rowan is tagged back in, but as he attempted a pump handle slam, Jey falls back and tags in Jimmy. Jimmy comes in and begins to hit Rowan from every angle.
Rowan is then knocked to the outside and then hit with a leaping right hand off the barricade! He follows up by hitting a flying crossbody on Rowan and a pinfall attempt. But only for a count for two. However, a distraction by Harper leads to Rowan pushing Jey off the top rope to the floor. Harper is then tagged in the continues the assault on Jey on the floor. He proceeds to pin Jey but only for a count of two. Harper continues the assault and makes a tag in to Rowan. Rowan comes in and backs Jey into the corner and heaves Jey across the ring with a claw grasp on his head!

Harper comes in and wipes out Jimmy before a tag can be made to him by Jey. The referee forces Jimmy back out of the ring as the Wyatt’s continue to work over Jey. Rowan then slams Jey. Rowan attempts a splash but misses him completely. Jey makes the hot tag to Jimmy as Harper is tagged in. He hits him with a couple of clotheslines and then a couple of Samoan drops to both members of the Wyatt Family. Jimmy hits a corkscrew moonsault off the top on Harper for a pin. But he only gets a count of two. Next, Jimmy hits a pair of superkicks and attempts another pin. He only gets a count of two as well. Finally, Jimmy hits a leap over the top onto Rowan, who was holding Jey.
As Jey was trying to get back into the ring, Harper hits a big boot. Both Harper and Rowan attempt a couple of team moves. Harper then hits a sitdown powerbomb on Jey. He attempts a pin but only for a count of two!! Harper hits a toupe throw the ropes, and he wipes out both Usos on separate occasions. Rowan is tagged in, and he and Harper hit a double team powerbomb, but Jimmy breaks up a pinfall attempt. Harper is hit with a superkick. Rowan then hits a splash on Jimmy in the corner. He then climbs the top rope and is knocked down on the top turnbuckle. Jey then climbs the top rope, and he, along with Jimmy, comes up and hits a superplex on the Rowan.
Jimmy is then tagged in and hits a huge splash, followed by his brother Jey. Jey makes the cover for the pinfall and the win.
Winners: AND STILL WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos
After the match, we see replays of the action that took place. It was a highly competitive matchup between both teams.
We then get a recount of the recent events that took place among The Shield members as Seth Rollins turned on his ‘brothers.’ We then hear that ‘there is always a plan B.’ It also included Dean Ambrose’s attack of Rollins leading into the Money in the Bank 2014 ladder match. Ambrose then gives a promo backstage, asking what he plans on doing in their match. A case of ‘case or face.’ He plans on leaving with the WWE contract.
WWE Divas Championship
Naomi (with Cameron) vs. Paige (c)
Naomi came out first with Cameron by her side, and we see how she earned a title match defeating Paige in a non-title matchup. Paige comes out next, sporting the Divas championship with her. Once the bell rings, both women quickly lock up. Their lockup sees them take it out to the floor without either woman letting go of the lockup. Once both women are back in the ring, they both attempt a dropkick. Paige hits a tilt-a-whirl, head scissors to Naomi, forcing her to the floor. Naomi hits a toupe over the top rope on Paige. The champion is being counted out but makes it back before the count of ten. Naomi then hits a crossbody and rolls through onto Paige.
Both Champion and challenger hit counter after counter on one another. Naomi then locks in a surfboard-like submission forcing the champion to scream in pain. She attempts a pinfall but only for a count of two. As Naomi climbs the top rope, Paige and Naomi both tumble to the floor to the outside. Both women are being counted out and make it into the ring before the count of ten. Paige hits a superkick and then forces in a submission on Naomi. She turns it into a pinning attempt, but Naomi counters it with a barrage of moves.
Championship opportunities are few and far between

Naomi hits the rearview and goes for a pinfall attempt. But only for a count of two! She hits a split leg moonsault, but Paige gets her knees up and then attempts a submission, but Naomi counters it. Naomi appears to go for a previous finishing move, but Paige turns it into the Rampaige DDT for the pinfall and the win.

After the match, the question of who Cameron was actually supporting in this match as she was cheering for.
We then see Renee Young with the Money in the Bank 2014 kick-off panel. The four people on the panel reflect on the earlier part of the program. Questions were asked about the Money in the Bank ladder match towards Christian, perspective on the match, and who will win by Alex Riley and Booker T as well. We then see a Money in the Bank by the numbers video. Who it made, how often someone was in the match, which brand owns the most, and which month they were cashed in.

Damien Sandow vs. Adam Rose
Sandow comes out and calls himself ‘Paul Revere.’ He makes claims that Boston will live in the shadow of New York, much to the chagrin of those in attendance. This brings out the Rosebuds, followed next by Adam Rose leading him to the ring. Rose picks up a microphone, and he tells him not to be a lemon but to be a Rosebud.
Those in attendance are firmly in the corner of Rose singing along his entrance them. The match eventually gets underway and has Rose get the early advantage. ‘Paul Revere’ regains control of the match. Rose makes it back to his feet only for ‘Revere’ to hit Rose with a back elbow. He warns, ‘the elbow is coming’ and drops an elbow drop on the fallen Adam Rose. Rose begins to make a comeback. He avoids a strike by ‘Revere’ and takes a series of right hands. Rose charges from one corner to the next only for ‘Revere’ hits him with a clothesline.
‘Revere’ hits a full nelson slam and a missed moonsault. However, he ends up getting caught with Rose’s finisher. This leads to a three-count and a win.
Winner: Adam Rose
After the match, the Rosebuds join Rose in the ring celebrating the win in the middle of the ring. We then see Jon Stewart of The Daily Show sitting ringside at the event. The commentary team discusses how Bad News Barrett had an injury causing him to miss the action. Earlier on in the match, we heard from Dean Ambrose. However, we then hear from all the remaining participants in the match, including Seth Rollins, RVD, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, & Zeb Colter (on behalf of Jack Swagger).
Money in the Bank 2014 Ladder Match
Seth Rollins vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Dean Ambrose
Ambrose comes into the ring and charges right after Rollins. He beats on him outside the ring while the action with everyone else continues inside the ring. Kingston brings a ladder in the match and uses it to jump over Jack Swagger and hit RVD with a crossbody. Kofi then follows up with a boom drop on Swagger. Kingston attempts to set up the ladder. As soon as he climbs to the top, Ambrose pushes him off, who hits a springboard off the top rope onto those on the floor. Then Ambrose and Rollins exchange attempts at climbing the turnbuckle.
Rollins is then double under hook suplexed onto the ladder prone in the corner. Ambrose then sets up the ladder and attempts to climb it, but Jack Swagger tries to get him off of it. RVD, Ziggler, and Kofi all struggle to climb the ladder. Ambrose clotheslines Swagger and is double-teamed by Ziggler and Kingston. They then race to the top of the ladder then back down until Rollins hits them both with it. RVD then whips Rollins into the corner turnbuckle and sets up a ladder in another corner. Rollins is whipped into a prone ladder and then hit with a spinning back kick. Rob Van Dam then places Rollins on one ladder and hits a Rolling Thunder in the opposing corner on him. Ambrose is then suplexed over the top rope. He then hits Ziggler and Swagger.
That’s all well and good Rob, but you can’t win that way…

RVD then hits a five-star frog splash on Swagger. Van Dam then climbs the ladder until Kofi Kingston comes up to stop him. Swagger then gets involved, but he’s taken out of the equation. RVD and Kingston battle in the corner. This leads to both men being stopped by Jack Swagger. Swagger then sets up the ladder in the corner and climbs it. With RVD sitting on the turnbuckle, he pulls him up from the hair. Swagger then tumbles to the ground. RVD then does his signature RVD pose until Rollins stops him on the top of the ladder. Van Dam is then powerbombed by Swagger from the ladder! Ambrose comes back in and right after Rollins on top of the ladder.
Ambrose then suplexes Rollins from the top of the ladder. Rollins looks out cold, and Ambrose isn’t doing much better. Both Ambrose and Rollins remain in the ring and begin to stir. Ambrose makes it to his feet first. But Ziggler superkicks Ambrose and is then whipped into him, who has a ladder resting on him. Swagger then clean’s house and makes Kingston his focus.
Swagger is going to climb to the top of the ladder

Rob Van Dam comes back, and he comes after Swagger. Ambrose and Rollins then are in pursuit of the briefcase as they continue to battle. Rollins is taken out, and Jack Swagger attempts to stop Dean. However, Ambrose turns it into a DDT. Rollins is beginning to climb up the ladder, but Rollins pushes the ladder over. Dean appears to be favoring his shoulder and is being forced from the match because of it. He’s clutching his left shoulder. Rollins sees this and sets up the ladder until RVD stops him! Both men exchange fists at the top of the ladder. Kofi then sets up a ladder and climbs one ladder to get to both RVD and Rollins. RVD falls off the ladder, and Rollins then stops him. Rollins then is back body dropped on the prone ladder.
But Dolph Ziggler stops his pursuit. Ziggler then is on the attack. He takes out Kingston and Swagger. RVD comes in and gets hit with a Famas**er on him. He then superkicks Swagger. Kofi comes in and is ZigZaged on a ladder at Money in the Bank 2014. Swagger then locks in the Patriot (ankle) lock on Ziggler, who is on the ladder. Ziggler is still trying to climb the ladder. He then kicks Swagger off of him. Dolph continues to climb the ladder but is cracked in the leg with a steel chair by Seth Rollins. Rollins is now alone in this match and begins to climb the ladder. However, Ambrose comes back and begins to strike him with chair shot after chair shot.
Ambrose is BACK!
Ambrose is alone climbing the ladder and is reaching for the briefcase. This brings out Kane, who tries to get to Ambrose. Eventually, Kane chokeslams Ambrose. He follows this up with a tombstone on him as well. Kane looks over, and Rollins has a clear path to climb the ladder. Rollins is then able to climb the Money in the Bank 2014 briefcase.
Winner: Seth Rollins
After the match, we witness what took place throughout the match, including the ending. We then see Triple H and Stephanie come out and congratulate Seth Rollins. An angry Dean Ambrose looks on from the ring.
We then see Bryon Saxton interviewing Randy Orton backstage. He asks him about his chances later on tonight. When asked about Rollins win, he said he needed all the help he could get. Orton then assured fans that he is walking out the champion. When asked about Roman Reigns, he gives Braxton a look and leaves.
Rybaxel (Curtis Axel & Ryback) vs. Stardust & Goldust
We see the secret weapon from a couple of weeks earlier, and it was the revealing of Stardust. Axel and Ryback make their way to the ring first, followed by Stardust and Goldust. Stardust and Axel begin the match with one another. Goldust is then tagged in, and he goes after Axel. Axel breaks away from them and makes the tag to Ryback. Ryback and Stardust battle in the ring and a tag is made to Goldust. But the Big Guy takes the fight to Goldust. Axel gets involved, and the duo gets the advantage over Goldust.
Axel attempts a pin but only gets a count of two. He then tags into Ryback. Ryback uses a rear chinlock. He then picks him up and slams him to the ground. Ryback tags in Axel, and both men continue to beat down on Goldust. Another rear chinlock on Goldust has Stardust chomping at the bit to get into the match. Goldust tries to fight off Axel but to no avail. Another tag is made to Ryback. Both men continue to work him over. The Big Guy attempts a suplex but ultimately hits a spine buster. However, Ryback gets caught with a back elbow until Goldust makes a tag to Stardust. Stardust then is hoisted up by Ryback.
Stardust hits a DDT and then hits what was known previously as CrossRhodes. Axel breaks up a pinning attempt. However, he is then tossed to the floor. Stardust then rolls up Ryback for the three count and the win.
Winners: Goldust & Stardust
After the match, Curtis Axel immediately attacks Stardust in the ring. Both Stardust and Goldust then catch Axel with a hoisted DDT by both brothers. The duo seems as united as ever in the middle of the ring.
We witness highlights of the feud between Layla and Summer Rae. There were several instances of both women having to be peeled away from one another. Fandango is then interviewed by Bryon Saxton about why he’s the special guest referee. Layla then interrupts and says that he’s still in love with her, to which Summer Rae gets involved.

Rusev (with Lana) vs. Big E
Rusev and Lana make their way to the ring first. They then address the audience and his upcoming opponent. She is quick to mock the American national flag but elevates Vladimir Putin. He shares that tonight he will crush Big E. Big E then makes his way to the ring waving the American national flag. We then hear of a pre-recorded interview from Big E and what and who he plans to stand up for on his way to the ring.
As soon as the bell rings, both men go at one another quickly. It’s a showing of a pair of bulls taking the fight to one another. Big E charges at Rusev, but the Bulgarian brute drives a knee into his shoulder. Rusev then hits a belly-to-back suplex. He then continues to beat down on Big E repeatedly. Finally, Rusev drives fists and then locks in a rear chinlock on Big E.
He can’t be stopped! – Michael Cole
After an attempted splash, Big E avoids Rusev and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Big E attempts to go at Rusev but the Bulgarian recovers and is relentless with knees of his own. Rusev comes charging in on Big E, then catches him and drops him to the mat with a uranagi. Big E drives a shoulder in the mid-section of Rusev. He then hits a belly-to-belly suplex on Rusev. He then hits a massive spear on Rusev through the ropes to the floor at Money in the Bank 2014.
The referee is counting both men down, and Big E rolls Rusev in the ring. He makes a cover but only for a count of two. Big E then lowers the straps, and he’s setting himself up to catch Rusev. Rusev catches Big E with a sidekick to the head and then a leaping thrust kick. The Bulgarian Brute is fired up now and then locks in the accolade. After a few minutes, he’s forced to tap out.
Winner: Rusev
After the match, we hear from the panel sharing their thoughts on the Money in the Bank match that took place and the one that is still to come. We then hear from Daniel Bryan, who spoke earlier on in the evening during the Kick-Off Show. Unfortunately, Bo Dallas had interrupted him. This is followed by an altercation between Stephanie McMahon and The Bellas. Brie is then escorted out of the arena by security.
Summer Rae vs. Layla
(With special guest referee Fandango)
Fandango makes his way to the ring first, followed by Summer Rae and, later on, Layla. As soon as both women are in the ring, Layla is introduced, and the bell rings. Summer Rae makes eyes at Fandango, and Layla throws her out of the ring. Both women go at one another, but Fandango is distracted by Summer Rae using her feminine wilds on him. This brings out the ferocious side of Layla. Layla uses a submission attempt working over Summer Rae’s leg and knee.
Summer Rae recovers and throws Layla around the ring. Layla begins to retreat but only to the ring apron. She then clocks Summer Rae with a kick. Layla makes the pinfall for the three count and the win.
Winner: Layla
After the bell, the two embrace with a kiss as Fandango and Layla leave the ring together. Summer Rae is ‘crying’ in disappointment and heartbreak as Fandango leaves with Summer Rae.
We then see highlights of Daniel Bryan’s championship win and his subsequent relinquishing of his title. This is followed by The Authority’s announcement that Bryan had to be stripped of the title and that a new champion would be crowned. Finally, we see a video package of all the competitors involved in the match and what is at stake.
The Authority’s Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came down to the ring and have a seat set for each of them at ringside.

WWF Heavyweight Championship
Bray Wyatt vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Sheamus (United States Champion) vs. Cesaro (with Paul Heyman) vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Kane vs. Roman Reigns
The match involved eight men set to compete for the WWE Championship. All eight men pair up with one another all over the ring. Fists and boots are thrown against one another. The ring clears up leaving Kane, Orton & Cena. Kane leaves the ring and attempts to bring in a ladder. However, Cesaro and Del Rio battle over the ladder. Wyatt then comes in and threw himself into the ladder wiping out both men. Wyatt and Reigns then square off against one another in the ring.
Reigns then sets up the ladder but Sheamus comes in and stops him from moving it along. Kane rolls back into the ring and he and Sheamus battle in the corner. Reigns comes in but he’s stopped by Randy Orton. Roman drops Orton with a clothesline. Kane is between Sheamus and Reigns and is crushed with a ladder on either side of him. However, Cesaro and Del Rio also climb the ladder. Kane gest up and pushes all four men off the ladders. The Big Red Machine begins to take out everyone in the ring. Chokeslams a plenty! Kane then sets up the ladder and picks up Randy Orton by the throat and tells him to climb the ladder.
Kane is here for one reason and one reason only and that’s to make sure Randy Orton wins the WWE Championship!

Reigns picks up the ladder and takes out Kane with it. He then begins to climb the ladder but Bray Wyatt stops him along the way. Wyatt is then hit with a suplex by John Cena. Cena is then caught with an uppercut by Cesaro. As Cesaro climbs the ladder, Sheamus climbs it as well and they continue to battle. Wyatt pushes out the ladder but both men are suspended from the hanging titles! Bray takes out both men. We then see a ladder ricochet and hit Randy Orton in the head cutting him open.
Sheamus and Orton battle by the Spanish announce team and are then set up on the ladder. Orton then takes Sheamus and hits a DDT on the floor on Sheamus who was hanging off the ladder. Cena begins to stir in the corner but Orton is clearing the rings of other ladders. Randy Orton then begins to climb up another ladder but Reigns, Cesaro, Del Rio, Bray Wyatt and Kane are now all involved pulling men off the ladder.
With no one watching Cesaro climbs up until Kane gets to him and clotheslines him over the top rope. Kane avoids an enziguri by Del Rio and then tosses him over the top rope. Sheamus and Kane begin to battle on the ring apron. The Celtic Warrior then proceeds to beat across the chest of Kane taking him out of the match. He follows this up by taking out Reigns, Del Rio and Orton as well! Sheamus is in control of the match. He then signals for the brogue kick and takes out Cena at Money in the Bank 2014.
Orton is the last man in the ring and the last obstacle for Sheamus

Sheamus begins to set up the ladder in the middle of the ring. He then proceeds to climb the ladder but Kane stops him and drags him to the floor. However, Sheamus recovers. Sheamus begins to but Cesaro builds a bridge to get to the ladder to meet up with Sheamus! Both men then battle at the top of the ladder once again. Del Rio takes out Reigns or so we think. He then lifts the ladder with Cesaro resting on this ladder like a tripod. Cena fixes it and he too begins to climb it. Wyatt gets involved and wipes out Cena. Then Del Rio, Kane, and Orton also get involved. Kane and Orton are working together to get rid of everyone else.
Kane disposes of one ladder and sets up the other in the middle of the ring for Randy Orton. Reigns then spears Kane through the ladder! Orton then begins to signal for an RKO but he gets caught with a superman punch. Sheamus is then hit with one as well. Del Rio is then dropped. Reigns is taking out everyone in this match. Cena and Reigns then face off in the middle of the ring. They then begin to exchange fists. Reigns hits Cena with a spear and then sets up the ladder in the middle of the ring at Money in the Bank 2014.
Who is going to win this? Who wants to be champion?

Orton stops him however and hits his inverted backbreaker on Roman Reigns. Randy begins the slow climb to the top but Bray Wyatt catches him and hits a Sister Abigail on him. Wyatt begins to climb the ladder but Del Rio stops him. Del Rio decks him with an enziguri and a superkick on a kneeling Bray Wyatt. Alberto has his hands on the title but Sheamus pushes the ladder over and then brogue kicks Del Rio.
Sheamus climbs the ladder but Cesaro comes in and puts him off and it leads to an uppercut and a neutralizer. Orton swings Cesaro off the ladder into an RKO. The Authority cheer on his efforts. However, Roman Reigns pulls as Orton and the two men continue to battle on the ladder. Orton’s head is bleeding badly from the top of his head. Roman uses countless headbutts to take him off the ladder. Kane comes back and then chokeslams Reigns off the ladder. Randy Orton looks bloodied but Cena came in and hit both Kane and Orton with an AA. Cena climbs the ladder and then claims the championships.
Winner: AND NEW WWE Heavyweight Champion John Cena
Cena became a 15-time Heavyweight champion. The look on the faces of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tells the story of frustration. During the replays, we see Cena hit AA’s on both Authority members. As soon as Cena claims the titles he stares down at the Authority as he holds his newest possession the WWE Championships at Money in the Bank 2014.
