Magnum Pro returns to action this Saturday night as they present Need for Speed. Need for Speed is the given name for Saturday night’s event, but it could easily be called Generational Warfare. Saturday night there are a plethora of matchups between the grizzled veterans of Magnum Pro and the rising stars looking to leave their mark. With six matches scheduled, maybe a few surprises, along with the first round of the Top Gun Tournament, it’s sure to be an action-packed night.

    Here’s the card:

    Magnum Pro: Need for Speed
Redwing the Barbarian vs. Jameson McGregor

Redwing the Barbarian has been on quite the roll in Magnum Pro Wrestling. In January, he got his revenge on TJ Benson while winning back the Magnum Pro Heavyweight Championship. The following month he defended his championship, fending off the challenge of the demented Damien Saint. Next up he has his sights on another up and comer, Jameson McGregor. A continued presence on the Magnum Pro Patreon tapings, McGregor has steadily been making his presence felt in the company. This will be his biggest challenge to date, taking on the red hot Magnum Pro Champion.

“Bad Boy” TJ Benson vs. Jaysin Strife

Since losing the Magnum Pro Championship to Redwing, TJ Benson has been in a foul mood. Hell-bent on making his way back to the top of the mountain, Benson has set his sights on the promotion franchise player. Just a couple months ago, Jaysin Strife took current NWA Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis to the limit. The two tore the house down, with Aldis ultimately retaining the title. Strife has seen the actions and attitude of TJ Benson and is determined to put him in his place. This match has a show-stealer written all over it. These two know each other so well and will hold nothing back to prove who the better man is.

    Top Gun Tournament
Gable Galileo vs. “Cold Stone” Tim Boston

During Magnum Pro’s last show, “Season Premiere,” there was a changing of the guard in the tag team division. That night Gable Galileo and Max Chill, collectively known as Chillileo, defeated former tag champs Popsicle (Donnie Peppercricket & Tim Boston). The loss, while a huge victory for the young team, served as a breaking point for Popsicle as they parted ways shortly after. Now, Galileo and Boston will meet in the first round of the Top Gun Tournament. Boston wants to get his singles run on the fast track after leaving an established team. While Galileo wants to prove his team’s victory was no fluke.

    Top Gun Tournament
Bo Gott vs. “The Heretic” Damien Saint

Bo Gott made an exciting return to Magnum Pro in February, winning the “Over the Top Rumble”. The victory earned him a spot in the Top Gun Tournament. His return was met with a boisterous reaction from the Magnum faithful as he now begins to work his way up the charts of contention. Waiting to welcome him back to Magnum Pro is Damien Saint.  Saint is looking for a signature win in Magnum Pro and picking up a win versus the returning Gott could be that victory. One thing’s for sure, these two won’t be afraid to get extremely physical Saturday night.

    Donnie Peppercricket vs. Brixton Nash

Yet another match-up pitting a grizzled veteran (Peppercricket) against a young stud (Nash). With a huge chip on his shoulder, Brixton Nash is hell-bent on taking out the veterans of Magnum Pro. The first wrestler on his list is Donnie Peppercricket. Much like Tim Boston, Peppercricket is coming into this match with a sense of urgency. No longer focused on the tag team division, Peppercricket wants his current singles run to start off hot. It will be an interesting dynamic to see if youth or experience gets the edge in this one.

    Six-Man Tag Match
The Coalition vs. The Culture & Nino Hatchet

It’s safe to say that at Magnum Pro “Season Premiere” the Culture was on the verge of winning the Magnum Pro Tag Team Titles. But, interference from Mack helped the Coalition keep the gold around their waists. Not willing to enter this contest at a disadvantage the Culture is bringing help in the form of Nino Hatchet. The uber-talented Hatchet has all the goods to help balance out the threat Mack brings anywhere the Coalition goes. The last meeting between the Coalition and the Culture was a wild brawl. So fans can expect an all-out war when they collide again on Saturday night.
