Get ready Dublin, Ireland, NXT UK will be invading your shores next month!

That’s right, it was announced during NXT Takeover: Portland last night that NXT UK Champion WALTER and company will be taking over the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday, April 26.

This would mark the fourth time that the NXT UK brand will have held a Takeover event. So far two have been held in Blackpool, England and one in Cardiff, Wales. And all three lived up to the Takeover reputation. As a point of note, it’s the first time the brand has left the United Kingdom.

And it didn’t take long for some of the NXT UK roster to begin to ask for matches –

As you can see, the “quiet” Jordan Devlin has challenged NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint and Sid Scala for a match in Dublin.

Devlin and WALTER have a long and storied history going back to their OTT Wrestling days. Could we possibly see a rekindling of that feud in Dublin?

Blake’s Take – This is great news for us Brits. Many of us, myself included, thought that it would be another long wait until the next NXT UK Takeover. How wrong were we? Just a few short weeks after WrestleMania those over in Dublin, Ireland will be treated royally! Will WALTER still be champ by the time Takeover: Dublin comes around? If he is will he be taking on Dave Mastiff (as the booking suggests so far) or will Jordan Devlin write another chapter in his storied rivalry with WALTER? I don’t know but I will certainly enjoy the ride to Dublin!
