    Colt Cabana Signs With AEW

Last night, before the AEW Revolution PPV, All Elite Wrestling held The Buy-In pre-show. The match on The Buy-In was The Dark Order vs SCU. During that match, wrestling veteran (and Chicago native) Colt Cabana made a surprise appearance to help SCU in their battle against The Dark Order.

After The Dark Order had won the match, they began to beat down Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky. Enter Colt Cabana, who along with Christopher Daniels, helped turn the tide and send Evil Uno and Stu Grayson packing.

His appearance seemed to indicate that Cabana had signed with AEW. Although it’s not the first time he has appeared for the company. He did some guest commentary on an episode of AEW Dark in December last year.

In the post-Revolution press scrum, AEW President Tony Khan indeed confirmed that Colt had signed with the company –

“Colt is working here. He does a variety of things. He already started as an announcer and now he’s gonna be working as a wrestler. I could see Colt wrestling for us on a regular basis. He can chip in as a commentator and also as a coach. He’s a valuable mind. He’s signed here. He can work, at my discretion, Colt can work other places.”

How this affects his relationship with both the NWA and NJPW is not known at the moment. He is a former NWA National Champion. But as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley have worked for NJPW while under an AEW contract, it could very well be that Cabana would do the same.
