Atsushi Aoki | In Memoriam
It’s never easy writing an obituary for anyone, but today is the day for one. Today we found out that 41-year-old and current AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsushi Aoki has passed away in a motorcycle accident. The only thing we know right now is that his bike failed to curve and crashed into a wall. Despite how you feel about certain wrestlers, any death is tragic, and nobody wishes to see a human life taken away so suddenly. I want to talk a little bit about the life and career of Atsushi Aoki. __________________ Atsushi Aoki was…
A lot of people are excited about All Elite Wrestling’s ( AEW ) first PPV, Double or Nothing and now, we’re going to talk about one of the main events of this show and it’s the next chapter between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho and what to expect. Do I really need to do a breakthrough about who they are? I know all of you know who they are as you have one who is considered one of the GOAT and one is considered the Best Bout Machine. If you really don’t know who the two of these people are…
All Elite Wrestling’s first big PPV is in a couple of days. We have a lot of matches to look forward to. I’ll be providing a preview for one of the matches on that show. There will be six Japanese or Joshi wrestlers competing in a tag team match. On one side, we have Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, and Emi Sakura. They will take on Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami. Now you’re looking at this match and I’m sure some of you are asking this one question. Here we look at Double Or Nothing Kong, Sakazaki, Sakura vs Shida,…
#Preview: Stardom Gold May 2019 (5/16/2019)
On May 16th, Stardom will be having one of their big shows during Stardom Gold. The units produced shows are done and it’s time to get into the bigger matches. On May 4th, Bea Priestley defeated Kagetsu to win the World of Stardom Championship. This was a big shocker and I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet. If Bea keeps delivering like she did in that match, I think she’ll be just fine. Originally for this show, we were supposed to get Bea defending her title against Toni Storm. However, WWE pressured them to cancel the match.…
#Review: Dragon Gate Dead or Alive 2019
Welcome to our latest review of Dragon Gate over to Pro Wrestling Post instead of just previews. I usually cover Dragon Gate at the other website I write for but I wanted to bring it here to balance both sites and my personal life without the need of adding another promotion into the mix. We got a big show with three exciting title matches along with the main event you don’t wanna miss. Let’s not waste any time as I…dive right in. Rating System: 0 Stars: Dave Meltzer 1 Star: Vince Russo 2 Stars: Tony Schiavone 3 Stars: Eric Bischoff…
On April 4th, All Japan Pro Wrestling had a round-robin tournament called the Champion Carnival, which is what New Japan’s G1 Climax is. They had nine wrestlers per block and our Triple Crown Champion, Kento Miyahara was a part of the A Block and wanted to redeem himself when he lost in the finals last year to Naomichi Marufuji, which was an incredible match, and should definitely watch it. Anyway, Kento suffered losses to guys like Zeus, Shuji Ishikawa, and even Gianni Valletta and it looked like his chances of winning the tournament. On April 25th, Kento would defeat Yuji…
The Stardom Cinderella Tournament is a 16 person tournament where people wrestle each other and the winner of that match will get to wear a beautiful dress along with the opportunity to have any match you want. It could be a title match or just a score you want to settle with your rival, it could even be both but it’s the best opportunity to have it done. Even Momo Watanabe won it last year to challenge Io Shirai for the Wonder of Stardom Championship and won it to become the new ace of the company. The Stardom Draft also…
Preview: Stardom Presents Glory Stars 2019
Welcome to my latest preview of Stardom as we’ll be talking about tomorrows big show, Glory Stars 2019. While there are no titles on the line for this one, the main event will change the fate of the units in the company, which I will get to when I talk about the match. I would also like to point out that Utami Hayashishita is injured and recently had surgery done as she’ll be out of action for about six weeks. We got a few matches to cover, so let’s get down to the card to see what Stardom has in…
It’s the greatest time of the year when it comes to professional wrestling and I’m talking about, of course, WrestleMania weekend! This will also be the first time that I’ll be attending WrestleMania weekend in person too and I’m gonna be talking about one of the outside events going on that weekend, Stardom for American Dream 2019. Stardom is making their return to the United States to put on another show for the special weekend as it’ll take place on Friday afternoon before NXT Takeover: New York. The name of this show will be called American Dream 2019 in the…
