On Saturday, December 19th, at Limitless Wrestling’s Vacationland Cup the promotion crowned a new champion. As part of a two-round tournament, ‘top talent’ Christian Casanova bested the field of eight men vying for the championship. In his first-round match up Christian Cassanova defeated CJ Cruz to move onto a final four. Rohit Raju has defended his X-Division championship on countless occasions over the past few months. Raju had found stipulation after stipulation to ensure he walked out with the X-Division championship. One of these constant threats for the championship was TJ Perkins. At NXT TakeOver WarGames a new NXT North American Champion was crowned. Johnny Gargano recaptures the North American Championship. In a triple threat match for the North American title, Johnny Gargano faced current champion Leon Ruff and former champion Damien Priest. In tragic news reported earlier today, IMPACT Wrestling co-founder Bob Ryder has passed away. He was 64 years old. Ryder was found by Nashville, Tennesse police. According to the reports, much that by Dave Meltzer below, he had fallen yesterday in the midst of receiving advanced chemotherapy.
