I was at the Smackdown! taping when Brock Lesnar threw Zach Gowen down a flight of steps in the New Orleans Arena and laughed about it for the next two days. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston of The New Day took on Samoa Joe in last night’s Extreme Rules pay per view. Joe, after losing the United States Championship to Ricochet at last month’s Stomping Ground, set his sights on Kofi and brutalized him in the weeks leading up to their match. He also choked out the WWE champion and picked up a victory in a six-man tag match on Smackdown Live a few weeks ago to gain some momentum. Raw opens with “The Man” Becky Lynch out first as she and Seth Rollins prepare to take on Andrade and Zelina Vega in a mixed tag team elimination match. Rollins comes out second. The announce team mentions how big this match could be for Vega and Andrade since they’re taking on the respective Universal and Women’s Champions. The ladies start out before Vega makes the tag to Andrade which brings in Rollins.
