This week’s preview of AEW Rampage for 9/30/22 comes on the heels of an exciting edition of AEW Dynamite, where an incredible ROH World title match took place. Four matches are announced to take place on the show.
Of the four matches set to take place, one involves a Dark Order member facing a member of La Faccion de Ingobernables. Seven A second match involves the Rampage debut of Lee Moriarty under the tutelage of Stokely Hathaway. The third involves The Acclaimed defending their AEW World Tag Team titles against two teams under the management of the Andrade Family Office.
Four matches have been announced on this week’s edition of Rampage (the 2-hour Grand Slam Edition). While a 10 pm show could deter fans, the matches on tap are both intriguing and create a unique set of matches and teams that the AEW fanbase isn’t accustomed to seeing. The final match involves fan favorite Willow Nightingale against Dr. Britt Baker’s right-hand woman, Jamie Hayter.

John Silver vs. Rush
Over the past few weeks, we have seen segments take place backstage between The Dark Order and LFI. During these segments, we have seen time and time again Andrade wanting to speak to 10. Why does he want to speak to 10? Does he want to offer him a place in the Andrade Family Office?
So while fans mull over that question, John Silver won’t allow more to come of this. He stands with 10 and, in doing so, is trying to push Andrade and Rush away from them. This match is sure to be a hard-hitting battle between Rush and Silver. Who among them walks out on top?

Lee Moriarty with Stokely Hathaway vs. Fuego Del Sol
Now under the leadership, Lee Moriarty walks to the ring with a whole new sense of confidence. While he would often show such great heart in each and every match he’s been involved in; this isn’t that Moriarty anymore. As part of The Firm, Moriarty has allies there to ensure he is as guaranteed of a win as anyone else on the brand.
The problem is on the other side of the ring is Fuego Del Sol. Fuego has no allies coming into the ring. So as he faces Moriarty, he not only faces the task of defeating the technically savvy Moriarty but members of The Firm being potentially at ringside. We have seen Morriessy make his presence felt when coming to the aid of MJF against Wheeler Yuta.
Will the task of defeating The Firm, including Lee Moriarty, be far too much for Del Sol to handle? What does The Firm have in store for Del Sol, and will anyone come to his aid at some point in this match?
AEW Rampage for 9/30/22
Willow Nightingale vs. Jamie Hayter
It was during the lumberjack match this past week that we witnessed Hayter and Nightingale brawl on the outside leading to a chase back up the walkway to the back. During this entire segment and the match that preceded it, the feeling was certainly that fans are becoming more and more behind Jamie Hayter.
Whether that’s because they know what she’s capable of or that they are tired of her having to be behind Britt Baker, the answer is unclear. But what fans will be treated to is a match between two ultra-talented women that should put on a tremendous showcase between them.

AEW World Tag Team Championships
The Acclaimed vs. Private Party vs. The Butcher and Blade
On this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, we saw a backstage argument between Private Party and The Butcher and Blade while Andrade El Idolo was trying to break it up. El Idolo reminded Private Party that they work for him.
At this point, Matt Hardy came up to Isaiah and Marq and said to them that ‘last week felt right.’ The three embraced, and Matt assured them he would have their back and support them, unlike how ‘Big Money’ Matt or Andrade would. So, with two teams under the management of AFO, how will the new AEW World Tag Team Champions fair on this night?
