AEW presents All In 2024

On Sunday, August 25th, AEW presents All In 2024 from Wembley Stadium in London, England. All Elite Wrestling returns to the world-famous Wembley Stadium for the second consecutive year.

What a difference a year makes. Last year’s event made history in the ring and outside the ring. But a new year brings about a new AEW World Champion, a new threat for that title, and potentially the end of a career if the challenger doesn’t succeed.

There are countless titles on the line and rivalries that are also set to culminate this night. Who walks away the winners? And who walks away suffering the agony of defeat?

Casino Gauntlet Match for a Guaranteed World Title Shot

As of this writing only one person has been confirmed as an entrant in this match. With Orange Cassidy slated to be a part of this match, the question of who else could be involved is up for grabs.

If we were to speculate, it would be ideal to consider the names of those recovering from injury, becoming one-time entrants, or even surprise entrants.

Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Adam Cole, Jay White, Hangman Page, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Konosuke Takeshita, RUSH, Wheeler Yuta, and Wardlow are among the names of those that could be entrants in this match.

But a great deal of speculation remains that former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Ricochet could make his debut on this night and possibly even this match.

AEW Trios Titles Championship
The Patriarchy (c) vs. Bang Bang Gang vs. House of Black vs. ??

The feud between the Patriarchy and the House of Black is far from concluded. Others have been involved in this rivalry over the AEW Trios titles. Fans have witnessed Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Killswitch attempt to get the better of Black, King, and Matthews.

But former champions the Bang Bang Gang, who never actually lost their titles, will be as determined as anyone to regain these championships. While one-third of the titles were handed to Juice Robinson, it’s The Gunns that are likely the most bothered by this.

Questions have arisen as to who this fourth team could be. Recently, Scorpio Sky appeared to approach a Private Party to discuss ‘business’. Could they potentially be the surprise fourth team? Or could Top Flight with Action Andretti or possibly the Cage of Agony?

Tomohiro Ishii & Willow Nightingale vs. Stokely Hathaway & Kris Statlander

The longstanding feud between Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, and Stokely Hathaway continues. But this time, Willow has a backup under the name Tomohiro Ishii. It is a unique inclusion, as even a minor altercation involving Ishii doesn’t seem to work.

A better fit would have been Orange Cassidy. But due to his inclusion in the Casino Gauntlet Match for a guaranteed World title shot, his pulling double duty was unlikely. But even deferring and including Ishii in this match still strikes us as odd.

While Stone Pitbull is a fierce competitor, including him here didn’t really make sense. That said, if they wanted to include someone Willow could make a part of the match, it could be someone without ties and maybe a surprise competitor.

AEW World Tag Team Championship
Young Bucks (c) vs. FTR vs. The Acclaimed

The on-again, off-again rivalry between FTR and the Young Bucks appears to be back on again. But this time, the inclusion of The Acclaimed has added a nice little wrinkle in this battle.

Rather than it being a team-against-team battle for the titles, a third team has been added, making it all the more exciting. Last year, FTR and the Young Bucks faced each other in Wembley.

But instead of a show of mutual respect on the part of the Young Bucks, we have jealousy from the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.

However, lost in all this are other former AEW World Tag Team Champions in The Acclaimed, who are also looking for that same respect along with the opportunity to stake claim to the titles.

FTW Championship
‘The Learning Tree’ Chris Jericho (c) vs. HOOK

With virtually no allies, HOOK may face Chris Jericho inside the ring, but he faces far more outside of it. Samoa Joe has been absent since losing to Jericho, and Jericho’s cronies have beaten down Shibata.

As the former FTW Champion, HOOK’s motivation may be about retribution for losing the title. But he needs to articulate that it’s about cementing his father’s legacy as much as it is about capturing the title.

HOOK needs to beat Jericho and do so definitively. He will need to overcome the threat posed by ‘the Redwood’ Big Bill and ‘the Bad Apple’ Bryan Keith in order to retain. Are the odds far too great for him.

TNT Championship
Coffin Match
Jack Perry vs. Darby Allin

A feud between two guys who had respect for one another at one time is as steeped in elevating two of their pillars as anything else. Since becoming the ‘Scapegoat’ Jack Perry has punched his boss, aligned with the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada.

He has captured the TNT Championship and been involved in the Anarchy in the Arena and Blood and Guts matches. Through all these battles, Perry has ultimately walked out. With the stipulation being a coffin match is that to assume that it ends between these two?

With Perry asking for Allin’s signature match, one has to presume that we close the door on this feud? But it may not be all that simple. Allin is a former TNT champion. When he held the title he actively defended it, something Perry has yet to do.

AEW American Championship
MJF (c) vs. Will Ospreay

After these two faced one another in a nearly one-hour match, it was nothing short of spectacular. With two seconds remaining, Ospreay lost to MJF and, in the process, his AEW International championship.

Since capturing the title, MJF has decided to rename the title and take away its International presence by calling it the American championship. Rather than actively defending it against Will Ospreay, he has gone after people close to Ospreay.

First, he batters Kyle Fletcher and then Michael Oku in the United Kingdom. As he continues to taunt him and his inability to use the Tiger Driver 91′, will All In be the point where Will Osprey shows just how much of an assassin he can be?

AEW Women’s Championship
‘Timeless’ Toni Storm (c) vs. ‘The Glamour’ Mariah May

It was a turn man likely seen coming, but one fans have fully embraced! May’s betrayal likely caught fans off guard because, if anything, they would have thought it would have been Storm who betrayed her protege out of jealousy.

But that wasn’t the case, and the student is looking to out the teacher. This is a case that has become deeply personal and steeped in a plot that has all been in place and fans likely never saw it coming.

But during this process, we witnessed a change in the appearance of Toni Storm. It is as though the betrayal has led to the timeless one to become more contemporary and looks to retain her title despite not necessarily being the odds on favorite.

TBS Championship
Mercedes Mone vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D

Since arriving at AEW, Mercedes Mone has been a major talking point in the company’s women’s division. After defeating Willow Nightingale to become the TBS champion, it became a question of who would be her next or biggest threat for the title.

After a lengthy absence from AEW television, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, has returned. When we hear the reason for her absence, it’s remarkable to know her comeback story.

In recent weeks, we have seen Kamille introduced and aligned with Mercedes. Are the odds far too stacked against Britt Baker for All-In?

Swerve Strickland vs Bryan Danielson
AEW World Championship
Title vs. career

With the main event having special stipulations, it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Last year, Bryan couldn’t be a part of All In; he likely had to be held back by wild horses to prevent it from happening again.

While it isn’t the first match these two have had against one another, Danielson is facing someone he’s spoken highly about in the past. Swerve Strickland’s reign has come under some criticism, which isn’t even his fault.

He has earned the right to be featured on Dynamite, but it hasn’t necessarily appeared that way. This can all change now. Does he need the win, or will Danielson’s storybook win be the direction they head this time?
