Welcome to the latest edition of AEW Ignite for 9/16/20! We certainly had some real surprises in last week’s show as the fallout of AEW All Out has truly begun. This week we have a very stacked card. Let us see what they have in store for us this week!

    Jon Moxley Appearing

Jon Moxley defended his AEW World Championship against MJF at AEW All Out. It was his biggest challenger to date. As Jon Moxley prepares for his next title defense against Lance Archer on October 14th, he will appear live in front of the Jacksonville crowd. What will be on Moxley’s mind with less than a month to go before he meets the Murderhawk?

Kip Sabian and The Best Man Miro Will Speak

It is safe to say none of us expected Kip Sabian’s best man would be such a big deal for the company. After two fake-outs, the AEW debut on Miro occurred last week. The Artist formerly known as Rusev made his shocking debut and declared him the Best Man of AEW.

On Wednesday night, Kip Sabian and Miro will speak yet again. What does the duo have in store for AEW? Who will Miro’s first opponent be? And most importantly, when will we get to actually see Kip Sabin’s wedding?

    MJF in Action

    Photo/@AEWrestling

MJF is in a very foul mood. He lost the AEW World Championship match at AEW All Out to Jon Moxley. Fired his entire campaign staff. He even blamed Wardlow for the title loss itself. Can MJF get back on track?

MJF will finally be back for in-ring action on this week’s AEW Dynamite. The last time he lost a match, he took it out on poor Griff Garrison. What unfortunate talent will be in MJF’s way on Wednesday night?

    AEW IGNITE for 9/16/20
    Hangman Page vs Frankie Kazarian

Hangman Page has had a rough couple of weeks. He betrayed the Young Bucks and was kicked out of the Elite. At AEW All Out, Page and Omega lost their AEW Tag Team Championship in very heartbreaking fashion to FTR at All Out. After the match, Kenny Omega seemingly ended the team after the loss. What will Hangman Page do now?

His first match after the big loss will be quite a challenging one. Frankie Kazarian of SCU is a highly underrated talent. He has also been a bit lost since losing the Tag Team titles to Page and Omega back in January. What will happen when two hungry competitors that are desperate for a win face-off on Dynamite?

    AEW IGNITE for 9/16/20
Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs Private Party

    AEW IGNITE for 9/16/20

Last week, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager defeated Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela in a hardcore tag team match. After the match, Jericho made his true intentions known. He and Hager would join the talented Tag Team division with the intention of going for the AEW Tag Team Championship. The next step in that very lofty goal begins on Wednesday night.

Their next challengers are Private Party. Private Party is a well-established tag team with victories over some of the very best that AEW has to offer. Can Jericho and Hager begin their push for tag team greatness against such a talented team?

    Parking Lot Fight
Best Friends vs Santana & Ortiz

Will Trent’s mom Sue be avenged? We will find out on Wednesday night.

After weeks of disrespect, Best Friends and Santana & Ortiz will finally end their long-time tag team feud. This final fight will be occurring in the Parking Lot of Daily’s Place. Who knows exactly what each team will be willing to do to pick up the victory. Will The Best Friends get revenge for the lost mini-van? It will be fun to find out.

    NWA World Women’s Championship
    Thunder Rosa (c) vs Ivelisse

    Photo/@AEWrestling

Thunder Rosa put on an impressive performance against Hikaru Shida at AEW All Out. She did not win the AEW Women’s Championship but she had one of the best matches of the entire show. What will she do for an encore?

In a bit of a surprise, Thunder Rosa will defend her NWA Women’s title on AEW programming. Her opponent will be Ivelisse. Ivelisse is coming off a major victory as she was part of the winning team of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup. It will be great to see an NWA title defended on Wednesday night between two talented wrestlers.

    AEW IGNITE for 9/16/20
    FTR vs Jurassic Express

    AEW IGNITE for 9/16/20
    Photo/@AEWrestling

FTR had an interesting victory celebration last week on Dynamite. It seemed they felt the need to disrespect the entire AEW Tag Team division as they celebrated their newly won AEW Tag Team Championship. One team that took major offense to that was Jurassic Express.

On this week’s show, FTR will face Jurassic Express in tag team action. It will be a non-title match because FTR felt Jurassic Express was unworthy of a title shot. Will Jurassic Express be able to shock the champions on Wednesday night?

Best Friends Chris Jericho Frankie Kazarian FTR Ivelisse Jake Hager joey janela Jon Moxley Jurassic Express Kenny Omega Lance Archer Miro MJF NWA Women's Championship Ortiz Private Party Santana SCU Sony kiss The Murderhawk Thunder Rosa Wardlow
