Let’s dive right into WWE NXT!

WWE NXT Preview for 6/8/21
Dakota Kai vs. Ember Moon
On last week’s edition of WWE NXT television, Dakota Kai would attack Ember Moon from behind in the middle of the ring. This occurred after Moon and partner Shotzi Blackheart defeated Kai and NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez on the May 25, 2021, edition of NXT. On this Tuesday, Ember Moon will seek revenge for Dakota Kai’s blatantly disrespectful attack.
This match is taking place on the go-home show for NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021. At this show, Ember Moon will contend for the NXT Women’s Championship held by Dakota Kai’s partner, Raquel Gonzalez. If Moon can pick up a victory in Tuesday’s contest, it will give her some much-needed momentum heading into her match against “Big Mami Cool.”
WWE NXT Preview for 6/8/21
Austin Theory vs. Oney Lorcan
On last week’s edition of WWE NXT, Lorcan would make the claim that, had Adam Cole not interfered in the NXT Championship #1 Contender’s match, his partner, Pete Dunne, would have walked out of the contest victorious. Theory took exception to these claims, believing that his mentor, Johnny Gargano, would have walked out of the Capitol Wrestling Center as #1 Contender.
Theory’s last match on NXT took place on May 11, 2021, when he would suffer a loss to NXT Champion Karrion Kross. Lorcan’s last match would also take place at that same event where he would suffer a loss to Kyle O’Reilly. Both of these men are looking to pick up a victory to impress their partners. Let’s see how this goes down on NXT television.
Killian Dain vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
On last week’s edition of NXT, “Swerve” (flanked by the rest of Hit Row) would antagonize Dain’s tag team partner, Drake Maverick. Dain would not take kindly to the antics of Hit Row and would stand chest-to-chest with the cruiserweight as the intimidating beast he is. This week, the NXT Universe will bear witness to a match between Killian Dain and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. Who is going to walk out of this contest victorious?

The Return of Poppy
Finally, we have the possibly awaited return of Grammy-nominated recording artist and music sensation – Poppy. Poppy has been a staple of the WWE NXT music scene and has made multiple appearances on the black-and-gold brand. The announcement of Poppy for Tuesday’s episode of NXT is interesting, as Poppy’s appearances are typically reserved for special events and pay-per-views. Will Poppy be the next music icon to step foot in a WWE ring for competition? Probably not, but we’ll have to wait and see.
What To Expect:
- Ember Moon will attempt to build momentum going into her NXT Women’s Championship match.
- Theory and Lorcan defending the honors of their partners/mentors.
- Poppy’s return to the black-and-gold brand.
- A great contest between “The Beast of Belfast” and Hit Row’s Master of “Swerve.”
