On this final edition of WWE NXT for 3/24/21, several things appear to take place ahead of NXT TakeOver Stand & Deliver. With the two nights taking shape, it is important to see how the rest of the card comes together. The NXT Championship, NXT Women’s Championship, and NXT Tag Team Championship matches have all been scheduled. However, what is intriguing is the steps taken to set up the NXT North American championship matchup.

Fans can anticipate matches that will either further along with on-going feuds or could be playing themselves out in other meaningful matchups on the show. This go-home edition of WWE NXT is sure to set up Stand and Deliver in a meaningful way.

     Roderick Strong vs. Cameron Grimes

Millon Dollar Grimes can have all the money in the world by his side, but that doesn’t mean it’ll help him. On this night, he goes one on one against the Messiah of the Backbreaker. With the recent breakup of the Undisputed Era, Strong’s ‘screw you’ to both O’Reilly and Cole is a statement. Now that he is on his own, Strong will look to assert himself. The first step in this new direction for Strong is to show what he can do on his own.

Strong’s versatility and ability to have a great match with essentially everyone certainly bodes well for him. This time, however, he’s in the ring with not only a talented in-ring performer but a talented and emerging character in NXT as well. Both men are also a part of the 12-man battle royal to which their issues from one match could carry over into the other one.

12 Man Battle Royal To Determine The Gauntlet Eliminator Participants

It is an interesting concept when we consider how the battle royal is the first step. The sole purpose of the battle royal has been to dwindle the field of participants. As evident by the graphic, many of those involved in the match have either held or contested for the NXT North American Championships. The match becomes more intriguing when six participants are remaining in the match. As it’s been explained, the remaining six participants remaining in the match will then participate in the gauntlet matchup on night one of Stand and Deliver.

Dexter Lumis, Bronson Reed, Leon Ruff, Cameron Grimes, Roderick Strong, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Pete Dunne, LA Knight, Kushida, Tyler Rust, Jake Atlas, and Austin Theory complete the field. If any six to advance due to their current advance to the gauntlet, it would be the following. Strong, Reed, Theory, KUSHIDA, Dunne & Scott. Each could lay claim to challenging for the title AND have been used regularly as part of NXT programming.

Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs Tian Sha & Xia Li (with Boa)

Have you ever been afraid for the health and well-being of someone else? Its likely happened whether it’s a friend or family member? Catanzaro and Carter are looking straight into the barrel of a gun known as Tian Sha. It is as though they have no idea what they are up against but are going to throw everything they can at Sha in hopes of success. The mystery that surrounds Sha alone is what tends to lead others to believe that she is a formidable force.

Fans have already seen to what lengths Li will go to in order to beatdown Catanzaro. Her former ‘friend’ was just another victim in the path of destruction that is Xia Li. There has already been a case of Carter coming to her friend’s aid and nearly facing the same fate as her. What will happen when both are likely to be unable to overcome the relentless pursuit of Sha and Li.

    What to Expect

    • Will Timothy Thatcher be seen and come to the aid of Tomasso Ciampa if Imperium is involved?
    • Will Finn Balor and Karrion Kross have one last confrontation leading into Stand & Deliver?
    • What will happen if Cole and O’Reilly get their hands on one another before Stand and Deliver?
