The upcoming episode of WWE NXT 2.0 for 8/2/22 features four matches for the show. The show’s main event is a four-way NXT Women’s tag team title match. With the dissolving of the former NXT Women’s tag team champions Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez, the decision was made to crown new champions. However, the decision to crown new champions came with the support of former WWE Women’s Champion, Alundra Blayze (aka Madusa Miceli).

But of the remaining three matches, we will see an NXT Tag Team title match pitting members of Tony D’Angelo’s family against Diamond Mine members and NXT Tag Team Champions, The Creed Brothers. Here is our WWE NXT 2.0 for 8/2/22 preview.

Solo Sikoa vs. Von Wagner with Robert Brand

This grudge match could quickly get out of hand if recent events have anything to do with it. Fans will recall the two were battling on more than one occasion outside a building. Could a match begin and quickly turn into an anything-goes match? It’s more than likely. From the recent attack by Von Wagner on Sikoa after an episode of Smackdown to the overtures both have made to one another.

These two are preparing for a fight in the street that can very well be make it or break it for one of them. Does this match have extenuating circumstances? Could one be elevated and contend for a championship?

    Mandy Rose (c) vs Sarray

Last week Sarray came out and said she wanted her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. While Sarray is an exceptional talent, it doesn’t boad well for her. With Toxic Attraction firmly behind Rose, Sarray faces the odds being stacked against her. With Heatwave set to take place soon and Zoey Stark challenging Rose for the title, Sarray does run the risk of winning by disqualification or count out.

But with the idea of 50/50 booking now being off the table having Sarray lose out right will certainly make a statement proving Rose isn’t a closet champion and actually can win convincingly.

The Creed Brothers (c) vs The D’Angelo Family

Last week we saw The D’Angelo Family put down Diamond Mine. Now, however, we are more inclined to see them walk away with the gold. Too often, we have seen Roderick Strong try and lead with an iron fist. But this could be the night where it completely blows up in his face. He speaks far too often of how Daman, Julian, and Brutus need to improve. Yet two of the three members of the action are holding gold.

We could very well see an instance where Strong overcoaches his team, which ultimately costs them the title. ‘Two Stacks’ and The Don of NXT appear to have championship gold in their sights.

Bron Breakker & JD McDonagh Go Face-to-Face in NXT Heatwave Summit.

From JD’s surprising return to NXT to Bron Breakker’s desire to put him in his place, the simmering pot between these two teams appears set to boil over. Breakker is walking out of the frying pan and into the fire as he prepares for his next challenger for the NXT Championship. JD will certainly be trying and capitalize on the hot-tempered and emotional Breakker ahead of their matchup at Heatwave.

Will Breakker be the one to flip the switch on McDonagh and get under his skin or will McDonagh once again rile up the champion?

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley vs. Toxic Attraction

Each of these teams wants to get their hands on these titles. While Toxic Attraction are multi-time champions, it feels like either Chance and Carter finally claim the gold or Nile and Paxley walk away as the champions. On a night where The Creed Brother’s could lose their titles, it could very well be the night other Diamond Mine members capture titles. Is a heel turn set to take place for Chance and Carter if things don’t go their way?
