During his time in wrestling, Horus has embraced his Mexican culture. As a twelve-year veteran, Horus earned a name for himself competing in his native Mexico. After the retirement of El Hijo de Rey Misterio, he was bestowed with the honor of becoming the next El Hijo de Rey Misterio. As much as he welcomed the honor. when the original El Hijo de Rey Misterio returned, Horus donned a new name and identity. He has competed for various promotions. He was also a part of the television program Lucha Underground and MLW.

Rey Horus made his Ring of Honor debut at this past December’s Final Battle 2019 against Flip Gordon. He is one-third of the Ring of Honor six-man tag team champions along with Flamita and Bandido. The trio defeated Villian Enterprises members Marty Scrull, Flip Gordon, and Brody King on this night. Horus was originally slated to team up with Alex Zayn and face Villian Enterprise members, Brody King and PCO. The decision to announce Horus’ signing couldn’t come at a better time.

With the recent uncertainty in the world, Ring of Honor has come out and shared something positive. Horus is as much committed to his professional future as Ring of Honor is to its future. Until events begin to take place once again, all are currently in a standstill.
