In a recent report by Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com, is reporting that to the best of their knowledge former WWE Raw and Smackdown Live tag team champions The Usos will be making a return on Fox. The former champions haven’t been seen on-screen since July. Their absence may or may not have been tied to Jimmy Uso’s reported arrest for a DUI in Pensacola, Florida. Jimmy’s arrest came only a few days before he and his brother faced The Revival and The OC for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
The time away for the brother’s Uso certainly did allow for any negative attention they faced to likely calm down. It also likely prevented an opportunity for another title run within the company. Their absence also did provide Raw to create a new threat for the tag team championship. Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler won an opportunity at the Raw Tag Team championship. The duo cashed in on their opportunity at Clash of Champions against Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins.
With Raw and Smackdown starting off fresh this week with new sets, change is welcome. For Jimmy and Jey Uso the move back to Smackdown also provides them an opportunity to rekindle old rivalries. Both The Revival and New Day have had longstanding feuds with The Usos and will welcome their return to the program.
Will the Usos appear on Smackdown on Fox?
Madison’s Mindset: The distance from an on-screen role likely did the duo some good. If the Usos do return to Smackdown on Fox it will be a welcomed one. It should also be noted that Naomi has also been absent from television as well. Her last tweet was sent in August as she has been morning the loss of a family member. When The Usos make their return to television it is likely going to be tied to Naomi’s return as well. WWE has continued to have married couples remain together when on the same brand.
