The final Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania opened with a video montage of AJ Styles and the comments and insults he’s hurled at the Undertaker over the last few weeks. He has referred to The Deadman by his government name, mentioned his wife Michelle McCool several times and disrespected his legacy. Also, Brock Lesnar is expected to address his match with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.
After the video package ended, the Undertaker appeared against a dark and smoky background. He was wearing a leather biker jacket, beanie, and bandana. He started by addressing AJ as Allen James (Style’s government name). Taker rattled off a list of WWE Hall of Famers then said AJ Styles waited until after all the greats of the Attitude Era had left to make his mark in the WWE. He also said that much of what AJ said about him was true and he understood it was just business.
However, he messed up when he mentioned his wife. Taker then says that Michelle McCool might have used his Styles Clash and called it the Faithbreaker. But she did it better and unlike him and she got it over. He ended by telling AJ to bring Anderson and Gallows with him and he will ultimately, “Rest In Peace.”
The camera cut away to reveal a tombstone with AJ Styles’ name and 1977-2020 on it.

Next up, there was a shot of Becky Lynch arriving at the Performance Center in her custom rig. She came to the stage and talked about her ride as “The Man” and immediately cut to last year’s WrestleMania when she faced Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. They played the match in its entirety, with “The Man” going on to win become “Becky Two Belts.” After the replay, Becky said that Shayna is under some pressure as well because she’s trying to do something her pal Ronda Rousey couldn’t do, and that’s beat “The Man” at WrestleMania. The Queen of Spades appeared behind Becky and locked in the Kirifuda Clutch. She then picked Becky up by her feet and swung her into the side of the announce table. After the attack, she threw the Raw Women’s title on top of a fallen Becky Lynch.
Aleister Black vs. Jason Cade
It’s time to ‘fade to black’ as Aleister Black makes his entrance to face Jason Cade. He lays in out in about two minutes and ends it with Black Mass for the victory. There was nothing fancy here as Black exploded over independent and Wrestling Revolver co-tag team champion Jason Cade. He faces off against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.
Winner: Aleister Black
They cut to last week’s Raw and Seth Rollins telling Kevin Owens that he was wrong to choose WrestleMania as the day to make a name for himself. The pair are scheduled to face off in six-man tag team action tonight.
Kevin Owens and The Street Profits vs. Seth Rollins, Angel Garza and Austin Theory
Kevin Owens teamed up with Raw Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits, to take on Seth Rollins, Angel Garza, and a debuting Austin Theory, introduced by Zelina Vega. KO started the match by pounding on Austin Theory before tagging in Montez Ford who hit some high impact, tandem offense with his partner Angelo Dawkins. Angel Garza barged into the match and felt the impact as well.
Dawkins got the tag but came under attack by the Monday Night Messiah, who worked him over in his team’s corner. Kevin Owens would eventually get the hot tag and hit Angel Garza with a Stunner to pick up the victory.
Winners: Kevin Owens and The Street Profits
As soon as the bell rang, Seth Rollins connected out of nowhere with a Curb Stomp. After the commercial Owens said he really just kicked some sense into him. He went on to call Seth an ‘arrogant dipsh*t.’ He said he’s going to take his first WrestleMania from Seth Rollins and ‘burn it down.’
After a replay of Randy Orton and Edge’s feud, The Rated R Superstar appeared and cut a promo. Edge claimed that Orton has dug another hole for himself with his words and actions; he said that he won’t be there to pull The Viper out this time.
Asuka made her entrance to the ring and cut a short promo. She spoke Japanese and pranced around before saying “No one is ready for Asuka.”
Asuka vs. Kayden Carter
The former NXT Women’s Champion and current co-holder of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship faced off against NXT’s Kayden Carter. It was a brief battle between the two. She went on to defeat NXT’s Kayden Carter with her Asuka Lock. The sudden impact of her attack truly showed that Asuka is coming for blood when she faced Bliss at WrestleMania.
Winner: Asuka
After the match, Asuka joined the announce table and *in Japanese* sent a message to her (and Kairi Sane’s) WrestleMania opponents Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss.
They cut to a video of NXT Champion Rhea Ripley arriving at the Performance Center. She takes about ten steps before Charlotte Flair blindsides her with a kick to the face and tells her she’ll see her at WrestleMania.
Next, was a replay of the WWE Championship match from Survivor Series between Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio. It really did leave fans hoping for the best but expecting the worst. As with how the storyline was developing recently Rey’s son Dominic was an active participant in the match. Despite their best efforts they simply couldn’t thwart the beast’s efforts as he ultimately disposed of both father and son. Lesnar retained the title leading into this year’s WrestleMania.
Paul Heyman and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar closed Raw. The advocate and The Beast were quite pointed in their comments. Heyman and Brock Lesnar collectively addressed what they had in store for Drew McIntyre. Heyman ran down Brock’s list of victims and said they all had great finishers. He asked if Drew’s Claymore Kick could take down The Beast. Heyman says that Drew McIntyre will walk into WrestleMania very special, but will walk out as the b*tch of Brock Lesnar.
