PROGRESS tweeted out a statement earlier on Wednesday regarding supporting one another and future events. The later followed it up with a separate announcement regarding other events slated to take place including Super Strong Style 16.

The tweet is as much about the unity of BritWrest as it is anything else. It is a statement that shows solidarity towards other companies that are continuing to run events. This was a wonderful gesture because it also is about raising the profile of other talents within the country as well. One of the most remarkable things about PROGRESS is their willingness to work with other promotions. This act also shows that growth and prosperity are as much a part of the promotion as anything else in the UK.
While it would have been wonderful if this was the only news shared by the promotion but it was not. As many had suspected with the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, PROGRESS has been forced to move certain events around. Below the tweet, the announcement is as follows:

Update: Camden, Manchester, Leeds, and Super Strong Style 16 2020
Firstly, thank you to everyone for being so patient with us during the past few weeks; it’s been an absolute hellacious experience with every member of PROGRESS crew being dotted around the world and in different yet equally challenging positions. Here’s what we need to share with you:
Camden Shows March 29th and April 20th are cancelled.
We regret to inform you that we have cancelled the Electric Ballroom shows on the March 29th and April 20th. We explored other options but decided at the end of the day that the best option for the wellbeing of talent, crew, and the fans that we do not run a show in any form. The Electric Ballroom have agreed with the decision. So what about tickets? Tickets bought with DICE will be automatically refunded for these shows; you don’t need to do anything. Thank you to DICE for making this as hassle free as possible.
Tickets for May 9th and May 10th
These dates have been postponed for now, and we are looking at replacement dates. We want to come to Manchester and Leeds but right now it’s not a good thing to travel. What’s important to remember here is that the refunds or validity swap will not be available until we have found replacement dates.
Super Strong Style 16 2020
Super Strong Style 16 2020 will be postponed until the August Bank Holiday Weekend. We have been discussing the May dates with Alexandra Palace and feel that we can’t guarantee what government measures will or will not be in place in May. Tickets for Super Strong Style 16 will be valid for the new dates or, if you’re not able to make it, you can claim a refund via your ticket provider.
What’s next?
So what’s next? Over the next few days we will be laying out our plans for the next few months as, like yourselves, we’re at home keeping busy. We think it’s a good time to bring the wrestling community together so make sure to keep an eye on your social networks over the next few days. If you have any further questions about anything mentioned here, please do not hesitate to message us on any of our social media accounts. We will be online mainly between 9-6pm, but if there are delays in responses it’s because we’re boiling the kettle for a Pot Noodle.
Oh, you should also follow us on Twitch.
Thanks again and be safe. Jon, Glen, and Matt
The most noted event in the PROGRESS statement regarding future events involves the postponement of Super Strong Style 16 from May until August. As always the promotion is quite forthcoming and understandable reminding ticket buyers to consult their where they purchased their tickets for potential refunds. We will continue to monitor this as more details become available.
