On the upcoming of NXT 2.0 for 4/5/22, as few as two matches are announced for the show! Of the two matches announced, we have a battle between emerging faces on the brand in Lash Legend and Nikita Lyons. The other match is an NXT Stand and Deliver Women’s Tag Team Championship rematch. Also, on the show, fans will hear from the new NXT North American Champion, Cameron Grimes.

On last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Bron Breakker defeated Dolph Ziggler to recapture the NXT Championship. Will the new champion address the roster or potential contenders for the title? Our preview for NXT 2.0 for 4/5/22 can be read in full below.

    Nikita Lyons vs. Lash Legend

As of earlier today, this match was announced for tonight’s show. Fans of NXT 2.0 are becoming more and more familiar with Lyons. With a strong sense of self and an array of strikes, Nikita Lyons is proving to be a fierce competitor in the women’s division. For Lash Legend, the host of the Lashing Out talk show on NXT, will also be granted the opportunity to flex her in-ring ability to match her personality.

Both women are still quite green. But with that raw nature, they need to be granted an opportunity to grow and develop. Their time will come, whether that means gravitating to fans or developing their skillset or work rate. If either of these women could be considered one to succeed in this match, it’s likely to be Lyons. She is already showing signs of connecting with fans online.

Once again, the duo of Gonzalez and Kai are the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. But they won’t have much time to celebrate as they’ll have to defend their title against the former champions. After a meer 72-hours after capturing the titles, Kai and Gonzalez will face two women who have mocked and ridiculed the rest of the division in order to stay on top. But their hold will only last for so long.

However, after winning the titles, questions of the Gonzalez and Kai reunion are likely to resurface. Can Raquel trust Dakota? Will Raquel seek retribution for how Dakota treated her in the past? Is it all just water under the bridge? Only time will tell as Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai’s second reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions begins.

NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes addresses the NXT Universe

After a hard-fought ladder match, a new champion was crowned this past Saturday for the NXT North American Championship. Cameron Grimes outlasted four other men, including former champion Carmelo Hayes to become the new champion. For Grimes, his title win is important. While he has captured titles in other promotions, this one is another example of him validating his worth.

As the son of the late Tracey Caddell, Cameron Grimes is doing everything he can on-screen to connect. But with the title comes threats for that championship. Whether it’s Grayson Waller, Santos Escobar, Solo Sikoa, or the former champion Carmelo Hayes, Grimes will have to have his eyes everywhere. So what will happen when Cameron Grimes addresses the NXT faithful after capturing his first official title in NXT?

    What To Expect

    • Bron Breakker addresses recapturing the NXT Championship
    • MSK addresses the NXT Tag Team Division after winning the NXT Tag Team championships
    • Gunther begins to look for his next threat in NXT
