When William Regal speaks, you listen. Before last week’s edition of NXT came on the air, it was announced that the longest-tenured GM in WWE history would be making an announcement to shake the foundation of the brand. And with a little help from Keith Lee, the North American title was officially vacated and placed back into contention the same way it entered NXT history… in a ladder match at Takeover. And with the announcement of NXT Takeover: XXX, celebrating 30 Takeover events in the history of the brand, the superstars of NXT continue to step their game up towards a epic big event for this week’s show. Let’s check out what’s Coming Up NXT for 7/29/20 – North American Scramble.

    Three’s Company

As mentioned earlier, Keith Lee is no longer the North American Champion. But now we get an even more epic addition to the upcoming NXT Takeover XXX event in the same way the title is introduced, in a ladder match! And after the resident ‘Thicc Boi’ Bronson Reed shocked the world with his upset over former North American Champions Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano, three more competitors enter the ring for a shot a the gold.

Finn Balor, before Keith Lee relinquished his title, targeted the belt as the next accomplishment he needed to be a true legend in NXT. Dexter Lumis went from being a thorn in the Undisputed Era’s side to being artistically present all across the brand. Timothy Thatcher has been teaching his Master Class on breaking arms and breaking bones in NXT. Now, these three men will cross paths in the next step towards the epic ladder match in this week’s surefire main event. Will Balor get one step closer to the NXT Grand Slam achievement? Will Lumis finally step into the limelight from the shadows and taste NXT gold? Or will Thatcher place himself closer to carrying a championship into his next lesson?

And speaking of Keith Lee, he was ringside cheering on Dijakovic last week. And was able to thwart a for certain career-ending attack by Karrion Kross. But even after an almost unfortunate end for the Croatian, will Keith Lee answer the call and face Kross for the NXT Championship? With NXT Takeover: XXX officially announced as the premier NXT event during Summerslam weekend, will this be our headlining main event?

But before we even get to Takeover: XXX, how will these two men get the upper hand on one another before their epic clash? And will Dijakovic able to muster a bit of revenge?

    Welcome To Your 30s

It’s official – NXT Takeover: XXX will take place during SummerSlam weekend. Who will step up to be apart of this historic event live on the WWE Network, especially against NXT’s champions?

We fully expect Keith Lee versus Karrion Kross will be announced within the coming week. Will the hostility between these two men lead to a very special stipulation?

Who else will be announced for the qualifier for the epic NXT North American Championship Ladder Match? Bronson Reed completed his upset last week. Will Imperium finally step from behind the shadows of watching the division they reign over? Will Santos Escobar offer an opportunity to a worthy challenger for his NXT Cruiserweight Championship? Or will Drake Maverick put himself back in line for the title? And has Io Shirai, the current Queen of the NXT women’s division, finally met a worthy competitor in Dakota Kai?

And that was Coming Up NXT for 7/29/20. Tune in Wednesday as NXT is only on the USA Network!
