The young lions of the NJPW LA Dojo return to unleash their fighting spirit at The Vermont Hollywood this Saturday night as we preview NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 8/6/22. This week’s NJPW STRONG features four matches and a stacked main event.
All this while the G1 Climax tournament rages on and High Alert looms on the horizon. Who will maintain or even capture some of that all-important momentum this Saturday night in Hollywood? Find out what you can expect here in this week’s NJPW STRONG Synopsis.
NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 8/6/22
Keita vs QT Marshall
QT Marshall has gained little respect for the young lions of the LA Dojo through his various visit. By all rights, he should respect the dojo, as his last outing in a NJPW STRONG ring ended in a pinfall loss to Karl Fredericks at Collision.
More recently, his Factory proteges Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto were victims of an upset victory by the unlikely pairing of Yuya Uemura and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. To put it bluntly, QT Marshall’s reputation in NJPW STRONG is in jeopardy. Across from him, this Saturday night is the up-and-coming Keita.
The last time we saw Keita in NJPW STRONG was at Mutiny, teaming with Yuya Uemura to defeat Kevin Blackwood and Lucas Riley. While Keita fights for the honor of the LA Dojo, QT Marshall may be looking to make an example of him to get back at Keita’s former partner Yuya Uemura.

Mascara Dorada vs Misterioso
On July 19th, NJPW announced that CMLL star Mistico will be in action at August Attack on September 11th. Stray Dog Army member and fellow luchador Misterioso was quick to issue a challenge to the CMLL mainstay.
However, Misterioso isn’t the only luchador in NJPW STRONG. Mistico and NJPW STRONG standout Mascara Dorada go way back, and the man in the golden mask was just as quick to issue a counter-challenge. Expect a lucha libre master class when these two masked marvels clash in The Vermont this Saturday night.

Robbie Eagles vs. Kevin Blackwood
Australian indie standout Robbie Eagles makes his NJPW STRONG debut in a brief stop between Best Of The Super Juniors and the upcoming CMLL Grand Prix. Eagles will be looking to make a statement in his first NJPW STRONG appearance, and the powers that be have an interesting matchup lined up for him.
This Saturday night, Robbie Eagles will test his technical proficiency against another up-and-coming scientific grappler. Kevin Blackwood returns to The Vermont Hollywood with intent to avenge his tag team loss to Keita and Yuya Uemura at Mutiny. Will Blackwood set his record straight, or will Eagles soar this Saturday night on NJPW STRONG?

KUSHIDA, Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero, & Taylor Rust vs BULLET CLUB (Jay White, Juice Robinson, Chase Owens, & Hikuleo)
We have an absolutely star-packed main event his Saturday night as a team of the LA Dojo’s finest takes on BULLET CLUB. Last week, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White and company defeated another all-star team of Kevin Knight, NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Fred Rosser, and “The Ace of New Japan” Hiroshi Tanahashi.
This week former rivals KUSHIDA and Trent Beretta unite, along with Beretta’s former Roppongi Vice teammate Rocky Romero and young lion Taylor Rust to defend the honor of the LA Dojo. In the opposite corner “Switchblade” Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Chase Owens make another stopover in the USA, mid-G1 Climax.
Those three remain undefeated in the prestigious tournament. Along with Hikuleo, they’ll be looking to retain that momentum as the tournament grinds on. Will the BULLET CLUB bad boys maintain their winning ways, or will the LA Dojo’s finest avenge their fallen champion?’
