This week on the NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 07/02/22, we’ll be diving headfirst into this special episode showcasing Will Ospreay’s new faction United Empire. The IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion and his cohorts are taking over the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia to showcase their skills against the LA Dojo.

This Saturday night, we will see a huge 8-man tag team match, a show-stealing hoss match, and the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion in action. Here’s what you can expect this Saturday night on NJPW STRONG, exclusively on NJPW World and FITE TV.

    NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 07/02/22
United Empire (Great O-Khan, Aaron Henare, Kyle Fletcher, & Mark Davis) vs. TMDK (JONAH, Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls, & Bad Dude Tito)

The Mighty Don’t Kneel have come back in a big way. Following their respective releases from WWE, JONAH, Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls have reunited to show the world what Aussie wrestling is all about. The newly reunited TMDK have set their sights pretty high in picking a fight with The United Empire.

In the finale of the Mutiny series, Jeff Cobb, Mark Davis, and Kyle Fletcher defeated JONAH, Shane Haste, and Bad Dude Tito in 6-man action. Back at Capital Collision, Mikey Nicholls returned to NJPW to complete the TMDK Trio and topple United Empire in an 8-man tag team match before formally inducting Bad Dude Tito.

This week, TMDK will meet United Empire in a rematch, but will they be able to exploit the same weaknesses that brought them a pinfall victory in D.C.? Or will the United Empire present a united front on their very own special?

    NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 07/02/22
    Jeff Cobb vs. Willie Mack

If there’s one thing wrestling fans around the world enjoy, it’s a big man with agility. This Saturday night, we’ll see two such men in action as Jeff Cobb faces off with the debuting Willie Mack. The last time Cobb and Mack shared a ring was as tag team partners, losing to The Briscoes in a qualifying match for the 2019 Crockett Cup. Prior to that, the last time the two faced each other, Jeff Cobb defeated Willie Mack to retain the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship at APW Gym Wars in 2017.

As former tag team partners, Cobb and Mack are bound to bring an interesting chemistry to the NJPW STRONG ring. While Willie Mack will be looking to make a splash in his NJPW STRONG debut, Jeff Cobb has reason to bring his A-game as well. In just a few weeks’ time, the Hawaii native will be entering the G1 Climax, and a win against Willie Mack will provide the ever-important momentum heading into the biggest tournament in NJPW.

    NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 07/02/22
    Will Ospreay vs. Homicide

The United Empire’s special event wouldn’t be complete without faction leader Will Ospreay in action. In a main event befitting the 2300 Arena, the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion will face indie wrestling legend Homicide. The Commonwealth Kingpin may have styled himself as an old-school gangster, but Homicide is an Old Skool Gangsta.

The Notorious 187 brings a street-fighting style straight out of ECW, completely at odds with Will Ospreay’s high-flying technique. Homicide will be looking to impress the Philadelphia faithful, but will that give him enough drive to topple the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion? You won’t want to miss this world-first from the 2300 Arena this Saturday night on NJPW STRONG.
