It has been announced that the United Kingdom’s own WOS Wrestling has reached a landmark deal with US broadcaster Stadium. The 24/7 sports network will air the 10 one hour episodes weekly from Sunday May 12 at 7pm EST.

This is a huge deal. It is is the first time that a British produced wrestling series has been licensed to an American TV channel.

WOS Wrestling features some of the UK and the world’s top stars. Names like Will Ospreay, Grado, Viper, Kay Lee Ray will be gracing US TV screens across the country. It is hosted by Stu Bennett (formerly Wade Barrett in WWE), SoCal Val and Alex Shane.

Stadium is an online sports network that is totally free. It features exclusive live and on-demand content, extensive highlights, original and daily live studio programming.

For those not in the know, WOS Wrestling is the new updated version of celebrated 70’s/80’s classic World Of Sport wrestling Names like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki were all over the UK and world media. Today’s product mixes hard hitting, high flying action with long term storytelling that is now more commonplace in today’s wrestling market.

Stadium is based out of Chicago, Illinois and can be viewed anytime via WatchStadium.com/Live, The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus and Sling TV and many others.

Blake’s Take – This could be the kick start that is needed to get WOS Wrestling a second series over here in the United Kingdom. Growing an international fan base is essential. It is a sure fire way to show the network big wigs that demand is out there. As well as having a foothold in the United States, WOS Wrestling also airs in Poland, India, sub-Saharan Africa. It is also available worldwide through the FITE app. I have high hopes that the demand will call for the second series
