Earlier today, AEW announced a feature tag team match for its upcoming pay-per-view, Fight for the Fallen. On July 13th, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SoCal Uncensored will face The Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. AEW Fight for the Fallen will take place from the Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida.

Going into Fight for the Fallen, both teams have been part of the previous two pay-per-views under the AEW umbrella. At Double or Nothing, which took place this past May, the trio of SCU defeated Strong Hearts, comprised of El Lindaman, T-Hawk, and Cima, in the main show’s opening match. Meanwhile, The Lucha Brothers squared off against The Young Bucks for the AAA World Tag Team Championship in a thrilling, near 25-minute battle.

Fyter Fest was held the following month. Kazarian and Sky competed in the three-way tag team match in the Buy-In preshow while Christopher Daniels faced Cima in the first match of the main show. The Lucha Brothers teamed with Laredo Kid to face off against The Elite, comprised of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.

The confirmed card for Fight for the Fallen is as follows:
SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) (with Christopher Daniels) vs. The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix)
Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin, and Joey Janela vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Sammy Guevara, and Shawn Spears
    Adam Page vs. Kip Sabian
    Brandi Rhodes vs. Allie
Cody and Dustin Rhodes vs. The Young Bucks
    Kenny Omega vs. Cima

Sutter’s Synopsis: With SCU and The Lucha Brothers tag team match announced for, AEW Fight for the Fallen is looking to be that much more of a complete card. It can be argued that, outside of The Young Bucks, these are the two top tag teams in All Elite Wrestling. They also have distinct styles, with SCU being more laidback and fan-focused while The Lucha Brothers maintain a style that’s hard-hitting and high-flying alike. It’s also worth noting that there will be a tournament to crown the first AEW World Tag Team Champions once AEW makes their way to TNT. The team that comes away victorious will have considerable momentum going into said tournament, granting them an edge as they pursue tag team gold.
