Beyond Wrestling today announced that they will be filming a network pilot on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 at the Melrose Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA. Tickets for the taping go on sale Friday, January 24th, 2020 at 12:00 pm EST. Here’s more info below from the press release:

Last year, the New England-based promotion caught the attention of the professional wrestling industry with their weekly live series, Uncharted Territory. The series which streamed live every week on IndependentWrestling.TV. Uncharted Territory’s two-season run featured thirty-one episodes in total and was widely acclaimed by critics and fans alike. The success of Uncharted Territory caught the attention of multiple distribution platforms and investors, resulting in this opportunity.

“Our popularity exploded in 2019. When we first started taping matches in a garage in Elyria, Ohio in 2009 I would have never imagined how big Beyond Wrestling would become. Each day we grow our YouTube channel with millions of fans from around the world watching. IWTV.LIVE continues to be an incredible partner for premium live streaming content. However, we must explore all options in the name of further distribution”, said Beyond Wrestling owner Drew Cordeiro.

With over two million YouTube subscribers and a live event presence in multiple major American markets. Beyond Wrestling has long been the vanguard of the booming independent wrestling scene. The pilot for the upcoming Beyond Wrestling network pilot reiterates that.

This is yet another pro wrestling promotion that has the opportunity to get television time. Recently, Championship Wrestling From Hollywood finalized a deal with ABC 7 in the Bay Area. AEW recently announced a contract extension to air its content until 2023. WWE continues to get more television deals as it was just announced that a highlight show will be airing on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom. The significance here is quite simply that, with networks looking to get more live sports content, the market for pro wrestling has been a fertile one from all the way to the top with WWE down to the Indy circuit.

It seems that there hasn’t been a better time to be a pro wrestler or a pro wrestling fan than today due to the variety of content you can pick and choose from. With this upward trend happening and affecting Beyond Wrestling, one has to wonder? Which company is next to get an opportunity similar to Beyond Wrestling?
