The independent wrestling weekly news review for 07/06/2020 is back for another week. During the last week, the effects of the Speaking Out movement have continued to be raised within the professional and independent wrestling business. Further promotions have gone into hiatus or are working towards putting further procedures in place. We have also seen multiple promotions announce they will running shows over the next few months. They also share which will allow fans into these venues.
Independent Wrestling Weekly for 07/06/2020
TNT Extreme Wrestling will be offering sensory bags to fans with additional needs for all their live shows when they return. These bags will be filled with items such as ear defenders, fidget toys and sunglasses for these fans. Make sure you contact the TNT Extreme Wrestling page before your event if you need a sensory bag.
RISE: Underground have released a survey on their social media pages for wrestlers, staff and fans to fill out. The purpose of the survey is “to ensure that the Safeguarding policy (RISE: Underground) create is perfectly suited to those who it is designed for.”
PWA announced Bryce Marcella will be taking over the role of general manager for PWA. PWA also announced that Steel City Massacre will be taking place in two weeks time. Ashe and Malcom Black will face off within the steel cage, both hoping to become the inaugural PWA World Champion

New Wave Pro will be returning with a live show with fans. On Sunday, 26th of July 2020 at the NWP Arena, New Wave Pro: Higher Ground is when and where the event takes place. The New Wave Pro champion Sam Knight will be defending his title at New Wave Pro: Higher Ground.
2CW has announced that they will be hosting a reunion show called 2CW’s Older, Fatter, Balder, the event will take place on the 20th of December 2020 at the Pastime Athletic Club in New York. Details are short at the moment but we will keep you updated once more is announced.
British Wrestling Revolution Announce Hiatus
British Wrestling Revolution announced last week that Lucy Openshaw and James Hannah as part of the British Wrestling Revolution safeguarding team. This week they announced that they have decided to go on hiatus for the remainder of 2020 and this will follow into the beginning months of 2021.
Game Changer Wrestling or GCW returned for another live event on the 4th of July 2020 for Backyard Wrestling 2. The GCW Backyard Wrestling 2 is available to watch on FITE TV. The lineup included Alex Zayne faced off against Rickey Crash, Paco Loco met KC Kwik in the squared circle and Kyle Smiley vs Logan Stunt. While Nasty Leroy also made his GCW debut during GCW Backyard Wrestling 2.

DEFY partnered with both PRO WRESTLING CARES and WEST COAST PRO WRESTLING to raise an amazing $20,000 for different Civil Rights organizations including; Black Lives Matter Global Network, Know Your Rights Camp, Fair Fight Action and National Bail Out.
New Riot Wrestling returned on the 5th of June 2020 with the penultimate episode for season 1 of their new podcast called Riot Radio. You can listen to Riot Radio on Spotify or Itunes. The first episode included multiple interviews with stars of New Riot Wrestling as well as general news from the promotion.
An All-Party Parliamentary Group Will Be Launched Next Week Focused on British Wrestling
It was announced this week that there will be a new All Party Parliamentary Group will be launched next week for the British wrestling scene. According to TWM News, the APPG will focus on calling for more regulations within the British wrestling industry as an aftermath of the Speaking Out movement.
ICW New York also returned on the 4th of July 2020 with their Death Match Drive-In 2 PPV. The show is available to watch on IndependentWrestling.TV. The lineup for this event included several matches. Eddie Kingston vs Brett Ison, Jeff King vs John Wayne Murdoch, Tim Donst vs Eddie Only, and Matthew Justice vs Casanova Valentine were among them.
WrestlePro continued their preparations for the upcoming, WrestlePro Alaska event which will be held on the 19th of September 2020. This week they announced that Matt Macintosh will face off against Justin Corino; Santino Marella will debut; Marko Stunt vs Joey Janela; Freya the Slaya vs Katarina Leigh; and Brian Myers & Gangrel vs Pat Buck & Kevin Matthews.
