While the world is focused on the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, the world of pro wrestling continues to operate as usual. For it’s surplus of fans around the world. In the New York area, with most events being canceled or suspended. The up and coming Imperial World Wrestling forges on with an announcement regarding their next event.

Originally scheduled in November of 2019, IWW’s next event in its young history looks to continue the momentum from the first event. Last year it took place at Martin Luther High School in Queens, New York. Regardless of the ongoing health scare, the IWW staff has stated the show will go on.

“Imperial World Wrestling has hired a hygiene team that will be walking around during the entire event with complimentary tissues, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks… Please don’t let this unfortunate situation ruin your ability to enjoy wrestling. We want you to feel comfortable doing so and are trying our hardest.”, in a statement released by the company today.

With continuing in being a fan first company, IWW also has announced the entire card. This includes a huge main event in the first round of their Purple Heart Cup between current indie standout Danny Limelight and ROH and EVOLVE prospect Vinny Pacifico. Also, in an effort to crown the first Imperial World Wrestling Atlantic Champion. The company announced a contract signing. It is slated to be between four competitors. They include the aforementioned Limelight, Isaiah Wolf, Alex Reitman and Killian McMurphy.

Be sure to return to us here at Pro Wrestling Post for the full review of the events card and more information as it comes in from IWW.

    Caul’s Call

Big and bold move by Imperial World Wrestling for their next event. Regardless of New York State’s ban of large events 500 a more, they carry on. As currently, they are the only un-suspended, non-canceled wrestling event in New York. I personally hope to see them continue to break the norm in this manner. I also hope we get more information on the Purple Heart Cup as well. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
