Before retweeting today’s announcement Dashwood stated that her first match back in the ring was this past Saturday’s event for the promotion Black Label Pro Dropkicks and Dragon’s featuring WWE Hall of Famer Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat. The event marked the first time Dashwood had competed in nearly a year. It was nearly a year ago when Dashwood revealed that she had suffered from psoriasis which affects the skin causing patchy and itchy skin. In Dashwood’s case, it was so severe that she was competing in pain for several weeks before stopping as it made competing too painful.
Madison’s Mindset: With the addition of Tenille Dashwood in IMPACT Wrestling, the level of competition and notable competition has only gone up. After declaring herself a free agent and healthy at the end of March of this year, Dashwood began her quest once again to get back into the ring.
Her signing with IMPACT Wrestling makes this the third major promotion that Dashwood in the last two years. Dashwood competed in Ring of Honor in 2018 and in the WWE in 2017. It will likely also create a number of different match opportunities within the promotion against the likes of Jordynne Grace, Kiera Hogan, and Tessa Blanchard.
