At GCW Homecoming, which will take place in Atlanta City, NJ, on July 25/26, Yoshihiko will go up against the Bad Boy Joey Janela on the Sunday show. Many know Janela from his work on All Elite Wrestling and independent promotions across America. Others may not know much about Yoshihiko who is a doll that has been used as a wrestler on various DDT shows over the years
This will be a first-time meeting between the two. Because of the unique nature of the competitors, fans will not know what to expect from two wrestlers with very different but equally unpredictable styles in the ring. With both making waves in their respective promotions, there is no saying what could happen during the match.
DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Yoshihiko to face Joel Janela on first Solo US Tour
In the past, Yoshihiko has been part of some iconic matches, including a bout against New Japan’s Kota Ibushi and more recently the last man standing match with Konosuke Takeshita. Janela is also no stranger to odd and extreme matches including a social distancing match during the pandemic and several hardcore ones throughout his career.
Despite it being Yoshihiko’s first solo excursion, it is not the first time fighting on American soil after taking part in the DDT Is Coming to America Show on April 4th, 2019. It is also not Joey Janela’s first experience with DDT and, like many wrestlers in the past, has won the DDT Ironman Championship during his career.
Other matches on the 26th include a scramble match between Alex Zayne vs. Myron Reed vs. Blake Christian vs. Tre Lemar vs. Jordan Oliver vs. KTB. There is also Lee Moriarty v Tony Deppen and Chris Dickinson v Calvin Tankman with more to be released nearer to the date.
However, despite whichever future matches are announced, Janela v Yoshihiko will be a unique match and something that fans watching in person or on FITE.TV will never forget.
